I think that people should be aware of the fact that if you want to subscribe to this site make sure that they are being charged for the correct amount. Twice they have taken money out of my account to fill a 8 month subscription when I clearly hit the button for a two month subscription. Granted they refunded my money the first time it is the fact that I think they believe that people will not read the confirmation email that tells the correct amount they have taken out of your account. I think it is part of a scam. Once I get this corrected you can believe that I will not EVER subscribe to them again. So please beware of what they are doing.

I was on Plenty of Fish for free to try it out to decide if I wanted to pay for a subscription with them. I'm glad I didn't. I was only on POF for 3 weeks. I messaged about 10 women on there, & I heard back from none of them. Then all of a sudden about 4 exotic foreign or Eastern European types start messaging me on there. They usually messaged me with "Hey, there" or words of the like. [redacted] IN fact, 1 who claimed she was in the book industry messaged me on there. Then I got a scam phone call in re to a book marketing scam, because I am a Writer. Most of the profiles are fake or very incomplete. I actually saw profiles from [redacted] on POF. They were women I messaged on ** & never messaged me back with some info changed & usually new names. Coincidence? I seriously doubt it. I think these sites trade info, & they use fake exotic types to "suck" men in financially. [redacted]

[redacted] The Feds should bust up this Oligopoly. The only online dating sites that I think are run on the level are [redacted] & your free political sites & other sites that are based on common interests. [redacted]

Some final thoughts about paid online dating sites. I have known no one that met their spouse or girlfriend that way. The claims or stats that these sites use are completely nothing more than puffery. I have a law degree. I know exactly how these sites operate. [redacted] I believe many of these women are actresses or models. Remember any site like this can claim or tell you anything. Just look @ all the complaints on the Revdex.com for these companies. Many are revoked & have F ratings.

Be careful when you give anyone money online. Do your research in re to online dating. I believe less than 20 % of the people on these sites are meeting anyone whatsoever. Most likely you are not going to be the 10%.

Twice POF has renewed my paid after I'd canceled it as well as being sent an email promising my membership would not be automatically renewed. I find this company and their business practices deceptive and this company untrustworthy.

After I paid for a 3 month upgraded membership on Plenty Of Fish for $41.43 on [redacted] which POF used [redacted] as a 3rd party billing service for, which expired [redacted] Plenty of Fish then decided on [redacted] to severely restrict my paid membership account without warning or reason, to the extend that the account can no longer effectively be used.

The severe limitation is that my online profile photos, which I had uploaded 5 each, were deleted from the account by POF, and then a restriction was apparently placed to prevent any new photos from being uploaded.

The end result is an active dating website account without the ability to add photos for online viewing, which sverely restricts the functionality of the online dating account, and is a restriction that does not adhere to their posted online services that they provide.

The POF site is junk and does not work properly. I don't know where they get the pictures and profiles. They are not real people. Never an answer.
The POF staff, if there is one, refuses to answer or address complaints. They always send back a form letter that does not address the question.
