PLM Paving and Concrete Reviews (1)

Review: I work in an area where this business was repairing a parking lot. I was parked next to a spot that was marked for repair. A friend of mine said he saw the truck and personnel trying to gain access to the particular spot during the day. The next day at my place of residence I observed multiple deep scratches along with tar/asphalt covering the front right part of my car. I knew right away where this had happened because of the tar and asphalt. Obviously is was done by someone working with tar/asphalt as they were the day before in the parking lot at my work. I contacted the general manager and he said he would look into it and provide me with his insurance information. In the next couple days he informed me I would have to go get "A couple bids on the damage done to my car." I did this by driving 45 min to Madison where I had saw advertisements. This trip took me 45 min there and 30 min back to my house. A week had passed and the GM got back to me saying he was going to try to get a look at the cameras from the business they were hired by. Another week passed and that Monday morning a man was waiting for me in my work when I got there at 8:30AM. This was apparently the sales person that knows the owner of the business they were hired by. He said he would look at the cameras. He then took additional pictures of the damage. After this instance I did not hear from PLM for another 14 days. Today the GM finally got back to one of the many attempts I had made to make contact. His response was that there wasn't sufficient evidence to support the theory that the damage was caused by his business. Please keep in mind my car has deep scratches covered in tar. And then said his belief was that I ran over something and that caused my damage. I find this unlikely on my 8 mile trek from work to home that was the only route it had been driven. He proceeded to say therefore we don't not feel we are responsible and we will not be paying to fix your car. "If you have anymore evidence let me know." And now I'm here with a car scratched and covered in tar with an estimate of around $1600 to get fixed.Desired Settlement: I would like this business to take their responsibility for their actions and fix the damage that has been caused. There is no other logical explanation for the damage that had occurred. There was also the $30 in gas money I spent getting the estimates they requested.

Response:

I would like to respond to [redacted]'s accusation that one of the trucks from the company I work for (PLM Paving) hit his car while patching in the parking lot at the place he is employed.
