Plow Boy's Foods Reviews (5)

Based upon a recommendation, we used them to complete our non-profit taxes for the 2014-2015 calendar year. Accountant was very slow to get the taxes completed and had many errors on the first draft. Finally completed them and sent him the signed copy as directed. I have sent many messages over the last 5 months to verify the taxes were accepted and got no response. Today the IRS notified me they were never submitted!

We have utilized Patrick Musgrave's services since 2008. In addition to a large number of glaringly obvious grammatical errors, A LOT of inexcusable errors - our employees' tax papers being sent to other people, the tax papers of other company's and individual's being sent to us, etc - that we should never have let slide, we recently (April 2014) noticed a lot of money was taken out along with payroll taxes that hasn't ever been explained. In fact, he seems to be refusing any contact. Then there was the fact that those pesky 2010 taxes he said he filed - and gave us copies of - never managed to get to the IRS. But the oddest thing of all is the fact that he won't just release an unlocked backup of the QuickBooks that we accessed through him. It's almost as though there's something he's hiding.

Patrick [redacted] has been doing my taxes for the last 7 years, I would not trust anyone else. He is quick and knows what he is doing.I know if I ever lose a tax year that he has a back up copy. I tell all of my friends to go to him. His prices are extremely reasonable

Pat Musgrave has been extremely professional and very helpful with filing our taxes.

Ms. [redacted] came in to the My Accountant of Indiana office, on February 12, 2016 to have her taxes filed. Both her Federal and State returns were completed. The Federal return was filed electronically. The State return, however, was not eligible for electronic filing. The State of Indiana has a...

rule that any time a W-2 has the same amount being withheld for any of the two withholding categories (federal, state, or county). The tax return must be paper filed. Ms. [redacted] has a W-2 that showed the same amount of withholding tax being withheld by state and county. This situation required that a paper return be filed. The return was mailed to the State of Indiana on February 13, 2016.
Once the return left our office, we no longer have any control over what happens. It is entirely up to the State of Indiana to process the return, and send the refund.
On every occasion that Ms. [redacted] contacted our office to inquire about her refund, we explained that a paper filed return will take a minimum of 12 to 16 weeks to process.
We made several attempts to obtain the status of Ms. [redacted]' return from the State of Indiana, unfortunately, there was no detailed information available. The only answer we received was "the return is being processed"
My Accountant of Indiana did prepare and file the tax return properly for Ms. [redacted]. The problem is with the Indiana Department of Revenue.
I am wiling to return $20 of her fee, which is the amount I charge for preparing a state return, as a gesture of good faith.
Sincerely,
Patrick L. M[redacted], Enrolled Agent
