RE: Response to Complaint ID: ***To whom it may concern:Please see below for a written description rebutting the claim made against PLS Logistics ServicesThe language below was written by the account executive, Justin B***, who serviced this customer:On September 16th Ms*** had
reached out to me for a rate quote for a shipment of pods delivering the week of October 11thI sent them a quote on the 19th of September because they had requested door-to-door and white glove service which takes a few days to quoteWe agreed upon door-to-door, which I told her would take around 5-business days, and I was told the pods needed to be in Wyoming on the 11th On September 21st I did confirm I could have it on the 11th and the shipment would have been fine if everything went off without a hitch. On Octobert 1st Ms*** had paid off the bill when we were able to get an accurate quoteI quoted it a second time, because as I told her, the quotes only last days some times and I needed an accurate quote and quote id number that would hold for her shipment The load was paid off and on October 3rd I scheduled the pickup that day for Thursday, October 6th which would have given us ample time to make the delivery by the 11thI e-mailed Sadie W***, with ***, a copy of the BOL on October 3rd because they need that to release the shipmentsUnfortunately, due to my other job responsibilities I did not follow up with Sadie and verify she received the paperwork because we have done this in the past and haven't had issues before. On Monday, October 10th I received an email from *** that they didn't pick up the product because there was no freight for them to pick upI hadn't been able to track it before that because we had been out of the office due to Hurricane MatthewOur office had closed down the 6th and 7th of October and I had limited access to our TMS systemWhen I followed up with Sadie as to why there was no product it was because she hadn't received the BOL and the product was never releasedI rescheduled *** to get in there that Monday to get it picked up and delivered as soon as possible. The product was picked up but sat in Chicago for a day or two while it was waiting for space to transloadAfter speaking with Ms*** and learning what time frame she had with installers and getting her location opened I understood the urgency so I called and found out the product was in Salt Lake City, UT which wasn't far and so I started working on a second carrier that may be able to get in there and get the product to deliver it sooner *** wouldn't be able to deliver until the following Monday but I figured another carrier could go straight throughI asked *** to stop the product in Salt Lake City but it had already gone on to Blackfoot, IDI was able to get it stopped there and sent my driver from Salt Lake City up to Blackfoot, ID to pick up the productHe was able to get it at the *** facility there and deliver it Friday night.I understand the delivery was late but it was because *** had not released the product due to the claim that I never sent over a BOL which I didWe are paying an estimated $to *** and $to *** *** *** for the deliveryWe are not making any money off this and the the amount Ms*** paid is just covering the costs that need to be paid to carriers that did their jobWhile it was late, she still received her product. If there are any further questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.Sincerely,Chris R***Chief Financial Officer###-###-####[email protected]
