Plum Crazy Restorations Inc

I had a 67 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 restored here. To be perfectly honest, at the time, I felt that the service was good, and when they completed their work I left as a satisfied customer who even wrote a testimonial that appears on their web site. However, since that time, a knocking noise began in the engine. Plum Crazy did attempt to remedy the problem, but the problem persisted. I had another company inspect the vehicle and perform the necessary work. They informed me that the work that Plum Crazy performed was not done correctly to both the engine and transmission. I approached Joe and he refused to acknowledge that the work was either not done, or done incorrectly. There was no apology or compensation offered. They did not make me feel like a valued customer. I feel that I have been "ripped off" when I consider the great deal of money that I paid for their inadequate and sub-standard work. I have asked that my testimonial be removed and they have not agreed to this. I would most certainly NOT recommend that anybody trust or use this company for engine or transmission work. They performed satisfactory work to the body and interior, but their craftsmanship, when it comes to "under the hood" leaves too much to be desired. The most disappointing aspect, is the company's inability to take ownership for their mistakes in my dealings with them. A common saying that they gave me was that "they guarantee the parts, but not the work they perform". I find this to be an unsettling claim when they are performing very expensive work.
