See attachment for original. To Whom it MayConcern:The vehicle, Volkswagen CC, *** ***, was brought in by the complainant Mr*** ***, 1*** *** *** ** *** *** ** ***, on December Mr***'s complaint were that the warning fights were on in the dashMr
*** stated that all the ABS sensors on the vehicle were previously replaced with new ABS sensors, Note that this shop did not do the work on said sensors nor were these assumed new sensors bought through this establishmentThe owner of the shop took the Word of the CustomerThe diagnosis of the vehicle needing a new ABS module was based on the assumption that the sensors were brand new and therefore not faultyThe only three issues that could cause the warning ABS lights on the dash are a faulty ABS module, faulty wiring from ABS module to sensors or a faulty ABS sensorAs the customer stated, the ABS sensors were new and the wiring tested goodSo we ordered the ABS module from *** *** *** in Louisville and upon the receipt of the part we attempted to put the part on the vehicleHowever, we discovered that VW had not released the software to program an ABS module on this particular model of WSo we had no option except to send the Customer to the dealerThis happens sometimes in the aftermarket worldAlthough we have the same software as the European dealerships, the manufacturers can "black out" some featuresSo the customer took the car to *** *** in LouisvilleThat was the last we heard of this until your agency called and sent a letterUpon receipt of this letter, the owner of the shop, ***, called *** *** to speak to the mechanic that looked at and diagnosed Mr***'s vehicleThe mechanic, also named ***, stated that he was immediately suspicious about our diagnosis because he had never replaced an ABS module on one of these particular WWsSide note, the dealership obviously does more volume on specific lines of VolkswagensWe are an aftermarket shop that concentrates on ALL European linesThe VW dealership mechanic determined that two of the "new" ABS sensors were faultySo he replaced themIn hindsight, we would have known that the probably the reason we didn't have the software to install the ABS module was because these modules don't fail as a ruleHowever, we do not repair a large volume of one specific line like a dealership, as stated earlierIf we would have known that the sensors were bad the ABS module would not have ever been ordered and the customer would have never been sent to the dealershipAlso the mechanic at the dealership has the benefit of walking from the service bay to the parts department to get new sensors place them on the car and "try" them outThere are a lot of parts that, if we order them, then we own them, they cannot be returnedSo this cost must be passed on to the customerIf we would have done this and we were incorrect, can you imagine how much more Mr*** would have been upset after insisting that the sensors were new and therefore not faultySo, without the privilege of a parts house at our disposal we cannot just "try" out partsSo, without a dealership parts house to pick and return parts to and without knowing the exact history of the car, all the work done to the ABS system, the origin of the sensors, and the mechanic who replaced them, all we could do is take the word of the customer that the Sensors were good and the only option left was to replace the ABS module. That is the overview of what was done to the vehicle and why plus the short investigation of the dealerships part of the situationNow to line by line answer the statements of the Complainant."They charged us $and said it was the ABS module." No one works for freeWe are not exemptDiagnostic fees are standard anywhere whether the vehicle is fixed or notThe diagnosis was based on the information provided by the customer as stated above"We paid an additional $for warranty deductible for the labor and part." This is an absolute lieMr*** *** did not pay this establishment one single penny, The dealership, *** *** *** *** *** *** *** *** ** *** ###-###-#### paid his entire invoice total due PlumSprings Garage, LLCthe check #*** distributed on 12/23/in the amount of The total amount due this establishment."Then they told us they couldn't program it after they were paid.” This is also a lieWe waited two weeks for the check from *** *** *** and all parties involved understood that we could not perform the instal of the ABS module well before the check was received by us from the dealership."We took it to the dealership and they said it was diagnosed completely wrong and charged us again." First let's revisit that this ABS warning light had to have something to do with the ABS system so the statement "completely wrong" is not trueWe diagnosed the module because the customer stated that the sensors were new and the wiring was tested to be goodWhen the dealership diagnosed the sensors to be faulty of course the customer was charged.in conclusion, would like to add that this establishment has been in business for over yearsWe are a successful, honest and well known shop in this areaOur mechanics all have over years' experience individuallyWe are not perfect but our integrity both as a knowledgeable and honest shop is well known in the area of Bowling GreenWe will not bow to the threats of an individual that has resorted to fabricating a story to his own financial gainAs far as this establishment is aware, Mr*** *** was never out one pennyWe only received money from *** *** ***Mr*** will have to use the court system as he sees fit

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution. Please respond here ONLY]
We had to pay a 100 dollar deductable to [redacted] for the false work of this garage. If needed I have a copy of the check that was paid for this deductable. Also they said the diagnostic test showed the abs module was bad. Which is a lie sense they said they just assumed it was bad . If needed we will settle this in court.
Regards,
