Review: I called Plumb Perfect Plumbing to get an estimate for installation of a basic bathroom sink faucet; a Kohler, which I had already purchased. I was told that they charge $95 for the first hour, and $70 for each hour thereafter, billed in 15 minute increments. The plumber was here for 1 hour and 5 minutes and gave me a bill for $240. It is true that he had to add two parts for under the sink - it is unclear on the bill whether it was $19 for one, or if the $19 was the price for each, but in any case that would only add $38 to the bill. The plumber told me he was charging me for 2 hours. I asked how he came up with that, and he said that they charge for the time it takes to drive to my house. There was also a "trip" fee on the bill, and I asked if that wasn't the charge for driving here, and he said that was for the wear and tear on their truck for the trip out. My problem with this situation is that there was no mention of these fees when I asked for an estimate. I was blind-sided and feel like I've been treated like a sucker. The reason that I asked for the estimate was so that I could determine whether it was reasonable enough to have someone come out and install the fixture. If they had been honest about their charges, I would have waited and gotten help installing it. I think this is very dishonest behavior on their part.Desired Settlement: I think that they should refund me the approximately $100 they charged that was over their estimate on the phone. I understand that they had to charge for the 2 parts they installed, but it is clearly dishonest for them to falsely underestimate their charges this way. If there had been any mention of the extra charge for the trip and for travelling, I would not have used this company. The woman who gave me the estimate knew where I lived before quoting it. Clearly, this is fraudulent.
