I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me Yes, thank you, Scott's Floors did come out to my house Friday to address the issues set out in my complaint The assistant installer who came to lay my floors came back with *** [redacted] who, I believe, is the residential flooring supervisor They were both pleasant and polite, and spent a good bit of time crawling around on my floor fixing areas of concern.I did not address the accept/reject of your email from today as one issue did come to light of which I was not aware until Friday -- when the owner, [redacted] Scott, came to my home to do the estimate, I asked for a custom blend of stains so that the floor would match my cherry cabinets(In the contract, this is referred to as "matching existing stain as close as possible" - however, all the old flooring was being refinished and I specifically said match the cabinets.) I even provided a cabinet door for them to use to match the stain When the stain was put down, the lead installer told me it looked different from the cabinets because it was going onto an oak floor versus cherry cabinets and the woods had different grains, and that the polyurethane would also make a difference, so I accepted that explanation However, Friday I found out from the assistant installer who came to the house for the installation and the subsequent repair that there was no "custom blend" mixed together to match the cabinets, they just used Minwax English Chestnut stain because it was the "closest" If you were to look at the cabinets versus the floors, you would see there is an obvious difference in the two (the floors do not have any of the red tone that is a part of a cherry stain) Although the floors do look good, and I have gotten compliments on them, this seems to be yet another example of not being provided what I had asked for, and when I did ask questions, I didn't receive a truthful answer I'm selling the home this spring, which is why I had all this done, and I'm not going to go back and forth on this with Scott's, but I wanted you to know.Thank you for your help with this.Regards, [redacted]

SCOTT FLOOR COMPANY INC [redacted] In our estimate originally dated 9/30/2015, we recognized the difficulty of the job as presented and as a result created the contact as attached to this response During the job, it is important to note that we had to clean up dog urine from your floor after the floor was installed, moved furniture (which originally was originally agreed upon as not part of our responsibility), had to stop sanding and end work for a day so that you could have the opportunity to clear your closets (this also had been previously discussed) and was asked to stop cleaning being that a cleaning company would be brought in to clean following job completion In addition, while we are sorry for the difficulty we are not responsible for stinkbugs or plumbing damage as stated As per your statement, you accepted our terms as noted in the attached signed contract dated 10/2/for a total amount of $5, Please note that the last paragraph of Ereads that Scott Floor Company, Incwill not be responsible for paint touch ups or damage Secondly, the contract also reads that Scott Floor Company, Incwill be responsible for dust in a capacity of broom swept condition only Your total contract amount of $5,is currently overdue We have received only $5, as of 1/23/ An amount of $is overdue
