PM Auto Sales

Don't go here! They had a 2000 Toyota Echo posted on Craig's list for $1188. I could tell it had front end damage, but for the price if it ran good I would have bought it. Fisrt off when I called the salesman told me it had 40,000 less miles than it did. It started right up, but the check engine light came on. I shut it off and the salesman, who I had to call on my cell phone to get to help me, because he wasn't in the office he comes out with a huge unlit cigar, ask's me what's wrong when I shut the car off and hand him the key's back. I told him the check engine light is on he says "so it's a $1000 car". I tell me I am not paying that for something with the front bumper ,grill, and two front fenders barely hanging on and the check engine light on. I ask him about the Pontiac Gran Am next to it for $1100 and he says " If you don't like this one you definitely won't like that one". So I left. I wound up buying a 1991 Pontiac Grand Am the next day for 1200 from [redacted].

Review: My wife and I were looking for a larger vehicle for our family, we went to PM Auto Sales and spoke with the owners son. We informed him that we had a 1999 Ford Mustang 35th anniversary edition to trade for an SUV. We found a 1999 GMC Suburban that we liked and took it for a test drive. When we came back to the dealership from the test drive, we spoke to the owner and he informed us that he had just put a new gear box for the transmission into that specific vehicle and since he was giving us a great deal he didn't want to part with it but rather keep it for himself. He then offered us his personal vehicle which was a 1998 GMC Suburban with less miles on it for the same price, he said he would put newer tires on it and detail it before selling it to us. The deal seemed reasonable because the vehicle had less miles on it. My wife and I traded our Mustang with $800 left over on the bill for the truck. A week after lightly driving our family around in the Suburban, the fuel pump went out leaving myself and our three children stranded in a parking lot. My wife had to borrow money from her mother to hire a tow truck to bring the vehicle home. After getting the fuel pump replaced not more than a week later the transmission in the Suburban broke and the truck would not go into reverse. It is my belief that the owner of PM Auto Sales knew that the truck was going to break when he offered it to us. We had no use for a broken truck because we are both students and parents and could not afford to fix a transmission so we let them take the truck back, leaving us without our Mustang or the money we would have been able to get for it. We are also not the first customers to complain about this company, you can find others on Google. What happened to being able to trust a business person and taking their word that you aren't being scammed.Desired Settlement: Ideally, I would like my money back for the Mustang that I traded in.

In regards complaint about his purchase of a 98 GMC Suburban pm sold vehicle in "as is condition" he signed and understood at the time of purchase that it is used vehicle with no waranties he was under contract to pay the balance he owned about 800.00 and did not pay therefore the truck was repossed. The truck was not returned to us. PM is sorry that this vehicle did not preform as expected.
