My daughter is a college student with no credit history and therefore our name is on the lease along with hers. We also pay the rent ourselves so it is OUR rent money not hers.My daughter's name is *** ***.Her father's name is *** *** and he is listed as a co-signer of the lease. The address so the apartment is *** *** *** *** ***, Columbia, SC ***.The issue with this company is they rent to college students who will not be staying long-term so they do not take their complaints seriouslyIt is therefore our intent to make a statement as the paying party. In that regards, I don't see how this could be a third party issue and ask that you reinstate the complaint.Thank you,*** ** ***

The lease was for [redacted] and the term was from September 2016-2017.  I have called again and still no one has replied to me. However, the mail keeps coming with a new invoice.

As per [redacted] statement, Unfortunately, she states that she did not receive my message and by the time she got back to me, the first apartment we had spoken about was leased. On our last conversation I informed [redacted] that I was able to hold an apt. of the same floor plan that she applied for and at the same rate. I did inform her that she would need to submit the co-signers application for approval. At that point she expressed that she would not be able
commit to a 12 month lease and we only offer 12 month leases.

Hi [redacted],I want to apologize for your experience at [redacted]s. It is our priority to make sure that your daughter is comfortable in her living situation in her apartment. I have researched the work order history for the apartment and I am showing that the ceiling has been repaired. I have personally reached out to our pest control company, and they will be coming by for an additional follow up in the next 24-48 hours. Please know that we take all complaints seriously, regardless of our tenant demographic. Please let me know directly if there is anything I can do to help the girls with their apartment. You can reach me at [redacted]@PMCPropertyGroup.com or by phone at ###-###-####.Thank you,Josh H[redacted]

Review: On January 12, 2013 I attended a Girl Scout event held at the American [redacted] Museum with my Daisy and Junior age troops. Some girls still require booster seats or car seats for their age and weight. Part of the Safety Wise Girl Scout checkpoints before embarking on a trip with scouts is to inquire about parking. I checked the museum website before leaving [redacted] and found the Museum has FREE parking. Upon arriving at the museum, I parked my van and went inside with my troop to meet my co-leaders and the rest of the troop. We were at the event approximately 2 hours. When it was over I was the last to leave with the girls I brought. They took a little longer in the gift shop than the others. When I returned to where I parked my vehicle, it was no longer there. I came back inside and the museum staff told me to call the police station; that at events they had agreements with all area lots that parking is free for event goers. The police station told me to call [redacted] Towing that it had been towed. [redacted] Towing told me that a park ranger had issued the tow ticket. The museum staff grabbed the phone from me and said to bring my vehicle back, because I had small children that required a car seat with no way to get the vehicle. A taxi wouldn't have car seats and she said since I did not know the area that it would be unsafe walking with children to the tow yard and especially unsafe in the area of town that the yard was located. There were no "no parking" signs in front of my vehicle, at the entrance to the lot, or anywhere visible. I took photos to validate my claim. My vehicle should not have been towed. The tow truck driver informed me the property has a contract with the towing company to come through the lot every 15 to 20 minutes to tow vehicles without a sticker and that the property gets a portion of the towing charges the towing company charges. As a Girl Scout, I do believe this practice is ethical and the lack of signage is illegal. After this happened, I checked the property's website; it states: "Amenities: state-of-the-art fitness center, secure on-site free parking, dog & cat friendly, on-site management, 24-hour maintenance."Desired Settlement: I would like the PMC Property Group (the property management company) to install signage that CLEARLY shows "no parking" or "private lot" at the entrance to their lot and offer the [redacted] Museum parking passes for event goers to place in their vehicle for when their lot is at capacity. I would like for the property management company to instruct the towing company NOT to tow a vehicle with car seats inside of it unless it is left longer than 8 hours and only after some sort of warning is placed on the vehicle. I would also like a written apology sent to the families of the little girls who were traumatized by this event. Girl Scouts of the [redacted] and [redacted] Troops [redacted] and [redacted] would like to be reimbursed for the towing costs of $175.00. The troops would also like PMC Property to make a donation to GSGWM for the same amount to allow a girl in our community who would otherwise not be able to afford camp the opportunity to go. Thank you very much for this consideration. It was very traumatic for myself, the girls in my troop, and their families.

Response:

1) We have two signs at the entrance of the parking lot on [redacted] Street that indicates the lot is a patrolled lot. There is also a sign at the back of the lot and one on our entrance door.
