Stoop by front door has nothing to do with the pitch of the concrete. There are cracks in the stoop that runs most of the front of the house. So I get leaks in the basement from that. It needs to be re surfaced which I am in the process of doing. *** told me he does not resurface.Yes it should flow to the alley, but at 1/8" per foot. It is currently x's that. Even the picnic table is slanted on an angle because of it.He should have found out from the gas company and confirmed that they do it for free. I was depending on his expertise. I knew nothing about pouring concrete, that is why I hired him.I had no way of know at the time of the initial pour of the sidewalk between the houses that there was going to be an issue. It was only after the project was completed and I started contacting landscapers to finish the yard. As soon as I realized that this was going to be a major problem for both my neighbor and myself, I contacted him. I did not bother to call before March because he had said he goes to Florida for the winter. Then I called and texted him many times with no responce.One of the times he was supposed to meet me he texted that he could not make it because of 'other jobs' he was doing and wanted to come at a later date, which he never did. Now he says he has not worked since November of

I, *** W***, have raised concrete many many times for other customers over the last years that I have been doing concrete.When I first looked at the job to bid it, the original complaint was water in the basement under the stoopThe solution I saw was to raise the concrete so that the
water would drain towards the alley and street in front of the house not towards the neighbor’s house (Which is why the concrete is higher at the neighbor’s house so the water would drain on Miss *** property to the street and alley)In my past experience the gas company has always raised the meters N/C.The question to me is that the original pour (9/2/15) there were no complaints and the customer contracted a year later to continue to pour the patio ( 6/14,15,16/2016) to continue the project.I have since retired due to health reasons and have not done any work since November of and the company has since been dissolved since that date.I am sorry that Miss *** is unhappy, however I stand by the quality of my work and I feel that a landscaper should be able to landscape the property accordinglyRetired owner PNB Construction LLC*** ** ***

The problem I am having with Mr [redacted] is that after a rain there is several "puddles" (maybe a 1/8' deep) where water sits until it evaporates. I did not say "this section should have drained to the east". I had to meet the garage floor on one side, the patio on the second side and the driveway on...

the third side leaving only the grass on the fourth side. It is not uncommon to see small puddles, (again only approximately 1/8" deep) or damp spots due to the flatness of the driveway. After a rain yesterday, I observed hundreds of small "puddles" on many city sidewalks, driveways, and patios in my travels throughout the city and surrounding communities as this is not uncommon. In my 35 years of doing concrete, this is the first time I have ever had a complaint of this nature. I will be leaving town tomorrow morning for two weeks and will not be able to address this problem further until I return.
