Review: I rented a boat for 4hrs on 06-07-14 for myself, my wife, my three daughters, one toddler and twin infants. After 1hr of us in water, I shut off the engine and could not re-start it. I called the company immediately for help and rescue. They showed up in about 2hrs. Our waiting time was horrific. I was not able to control the boat and it started to passively sail towards the shore. This was very unsafe. During this we were about to hit another docked boat on the shore and missed by inches. The shore was rocky and the boat's lower side (the pontoons) kept scratching against the pointy rocks. We could hear the scratching sound loud and clear and we were terrified that the boat might leak now. During the first hour of our waiting, no attempt to even call us was made. I called them 4 times, worried for my children and myself. None of us could swim, and they knew it. During all those four times we were told that boats were out for us. Finally they found us and did not even bring a boat that could hold all 5 of us. One of the guys told me he was not sure if the boat was safe to bring us back to the shore. He suggested that the 5 of us be divided to the two small rescue boats and safely be brought to shore. However, soon afterwards the manager arrived at the scene and refused to do so. He told me 'I recommend that YOU drive the same boat back to the shore'. Thus, we were left alone. None of them even boarded our boat to drive it back carefully. I was left alone to drive that risky vehicle back to shore along with my children and none of us knew how to swim. This was the most horrific moment of my life. Thanks God, we reached the shore safely. We told one of the guys there that we wanted to speak with the manager. Manager came then. We told him we had a terrible experience and asked him if he could explain why he risked our lives in such ruthless manner. He was very rude; gave us a few lame excuses and then told us to leave his place immediately and to never return back there.Desired Settlement: This business should be closed with immediate effect until the authorities investigate and make sure that the company has an effective manner to respond to rescue calls, and that their administrative staff takes security seriously. As to the terrible and agonizing 3 hours of my lives where I was left alone with my wife and children to potentially drown, I don't know if there could be any possible compensation. All I request the authorities is that please take all necessary steps that no other person and especially no other parents have to live in such horror again, at this place. As to monetary matters, I rented the boat for 4 hrs and effectively used it for only one hour. I think it would be unfair if I am not refunded at least 75% of the rent.
