Emergency room is the worst place to go you might not even see a doctor when you go they do the same treatments you been doing at home and your getting charged for this BTW and whats worse is they weren't even sure if a room was clean before admitting a patient into the room (seriously) and if the bed sheet is changed is changed it's considered cleanI wouldn't even give this place a star, I go hoping they have changed but they haven't I will still be driving an hour away for service to a better hospital I am sure not all employees are bad in there and this isn't for a particular employee this is about my experience in the emergency department

October 1, 2014Dear [redacted] ,I am writing in response to letters received from you dated September 17, and September 29, In these letters you inquire about a patient billing concern related to our Emergency Department physician billingThe ID number is [redacted] I apologize you did not receive a timely response to the letter of September 17, As per the messages I left for you, I was on vacation September through the 29thUpon my return, I contacted our Emergency Department Physician Billing Office to look into this concernThey are a separate entity as our Emergency Department physicians are a contracted service.They responded to me today, informing me that they are non-participating with this insurance but have made a courtesy adjustment making this a zero balanceIf this patient should need any assistance in the future, she may contact me directly at ###-###-####I am always happy to assist in any way I can.You included the patient's contact information on your lettersI will email her a copy of this letterI tried calling her this afternoon but the number provided is not accepting messages.Thank you,

I am writing in response to a letter received from you dated April 26, referencing ID number [redacted] contacted our Billing Office to review the details shared in this patient's concernThe patient was sent billing statements on February 16, and April 15, The patient did call our Billing Office and did receive returned calls on April and April 15, The phone number provided is now no longer in serviceI asked that this patient be sent an itemized list of chargesThis itemized bill was sent to the patient today, May 3, We will hold this bill from going to the collection agency until we hear from this patient after she receives the itemized bill sent to her today.If you need any further information or follow-up, please contact me at ###-###-####.Thank you,Kelly G [redacted] Director, Patient Relations Pocono Medical Center

Since they keep deleting my reviews I will write another one ! First off I would not take my dog to them! They ruined my life ! They removed me from my residence @ 4;am by State Troopers hand cuffed & shackeled me, over a upset X telling them I was going to hurt myself So these It's pulled a Warrant for my arrest I was forced to take the hour long ride from Shohola to East Stoudsburg with no explainationsI get there ,They evaluate me.and ask if there's someone I can call to come and get me ! I will not let this go ! I have nightmares constantly and am careful where I lay my head at night anymore when I can sleep.They took it upon themselves to take my freedom and liberty for no reason at allThey are Pathetic.Stay far away from this place.Unless of course you want your spouse out of the house just call Pocono Medical they will gladly help you out !

You share the concerns of a patient that received services at Pocono Medical Center, ID # [redacted]. She shared with you her upset of being billed for services she did not receive in...

our Emergency Department.I reviewed her past medical records to find that she did come to our Emergency Department on November 22, 2014. She received a thorough work-up and testing for her complaint of right lower quadrant abdominal pain. After testing, she was given a diagnosis of acute gastroenteritis. This is the visit for which she is receiving a bill. The procedure she is referencing in her complaint she had on January 21, 2015 by Dr. M[redacted]. He was an associate of Dr. C[redacted] at that time.I have contacted our Emergency Department Billing Manager at [redacted] Billing Center to reach out to this patient to see why her insurance denied this visit and to see what they can do to assist her.
