Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response was the same information that was already provided prior to me submitting a complaint to the Revdex.comIn the office the doctor NEVER said this is a quote and you may still be chargedThe doctor clearly stated that she was checking my insurance because she did not want me to get a surprise billShe left the room and came back several minutes later and stated that she checked my insurance and that everything was covered percent because I had met the deductibleIt is very sad that I was tricked into order these ordothics and later changed for them, had I known I probably would of searched for other options prior to ordering with this doctorI should not have to pay anything because this doctor LIEDAt the least I hope this complaint is posted publicly so others can be aware not to use this practice Regards, [redacted]

My son saw DrSandra R*** regarding heel painShe stated that he needed OrthoticsDuring the visit prior to ordering the Orthotics the doctor stated that she wanted to call my medical insurance company and make sure that the Ordthotics would be covered under my plan so that I would not have a surprise billShe left the room and came back several minutes later with a nurse, she stated that his Orthotics would be covered 100% because I had already met my deductible and that she could proceed with placing the order for his OrthoticsTo my surprise I received a bill in the mail for the Orthothics and when I called the billing office I was told that my insurance does not cover OrthoticsI was also charged for Orthotic Management and TrainingI asked what that was and was told that is for when the patient is trained on the Orthotics and the patient walks and the doctor make sure everything is fittingThat NEVER happened, I was told that when they came in that my son did not have to

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that the response would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. The response was the same information that was already provided prior to me submitting a complaint to the Revdex.com. In the office the doctor NEVER said this is a quote and you may still be charged. The doctor clearly stated that she was checking my insurance because she did not want me to get a surprise bill. She left the room and came back several minutes later and stated that she checked my insurance and that everything was covered 100 percent because I had met the deductible.
It is very sad that I was tricked into order these ordothics and later changed for them, had I known I probably would of searched for other options prior to ordering with this doctor. I should not have to pay anything because this doctor LIED. At the least I hope this complaint is posted publicly so others can be aware not to use this practice.

[redacted]   Complaint regarding charges billed for custom orthotics - Insurance denied     Patient: [redacted]   Our practice does contact insurance provider's to collect coverage and limitations. This is a quote obtained by the patient's insurance carrier,we explain to every patient that it is a quote and not a guarantee of coverage or payment. When a patient is given a custom device we do require a signature and we do advise patient's that even though we have received a quote in benefits it is not a guarantee and they are responsible for the device should the carrier deny payment. Ihave attached Ms.[redacted]'s DME acknowledgement form which was signed the day her son was in the office. Every patient is given the information as it is presented to us and allowed to make an informed decision whether to proceed or not. We do educate the patient and their guardian that it is a quote and there is always the possibility the claim would not be covered depending on policy restrictions and limitation we are not privy to. We have adjusted the account for the orthotic and management fee, this was an error as the father picked up the orthotics without the son present for the appointment. We also adjusted the orthotic fee to reflect a provider adjustment cash pay fee of $295.00.   Ms. [redacted] balance also reflects a deductible amount which her insurance carrier states is her responsibility. Ido apologize Ms.[redacted] did not receive prompt attention from our office. We care about our patients and their families and strive to provide excellent customer service. The billing department has spoken to Ms. [redacted] and we have made a pay arrangement with her. Please feel free to contact me should you have any questions or need further information.
