I paid Ray *** in full on Feb 17 via an online check he received on Feb 25, 2020. On Feb 28, he informed me on the phone that he would not be returning to complete the work in my bathrooms for at least 4 weeks. I reminded him that I was leaving the country in April and that it was unacceptable since he had been paid in full. He engaged in an argument with me over the phone and I explained to him that I did not care about his opinions, that our relationship was business, that he had been paid in full and he needed to complete the work the following week. My work schedule changed. On March 2, I informed Ray that my work schedule had changed and we needed to reschedule the completion date. No other arrangements were made. He will not reply to texts nor emails. The following needs to be completed (list may not be all inclusive - a walkthrough is needed and has been requested):
1. Upstairs Bathroom
Lower mirrors
Secure sink and legs per your recommendation
Replace faucet piece (will send pic)
Clean toilet room ceiling fan
Grout crack inside shower - back wall under niche
Grind shower wall shelf (niche)
Toilet wall repair needs improvement
Wall behind toilet needs paint
Outlet/switch covers
Various paint touch ups
Light fixture bulb covers
I also want to discuss the piping under the sinks - its scratched and not flush to wall
2. Downstairs Bathroom
Clean toilet room ceiling fan
Install vanity trim
Install faucets
Install lighting
Hang mirrors
Wall tile on the right of tub (will send pic)
Improve where picture ledge tile meets wall above tub (where tile corner was corrected
Replace upper vent cover - above shower
Tub spout and tub caulking
Vanity knobs
Floor molding toilet room needs quarter round
Various paint spots on wall - touch ups
Complete molding in the main area (Left side of vanity)
Door trim paint
This is in response to *** complaint. What stands out in Ally's complaint is that she had to make it clear on 3 different occasions that I had been paid in full. The complaint stated that I had not completed what contractors call a punch list, minor details to finish a project. My resolution was to send her one of my sub-contractors that had been with me on the job from the start to complete the punch list. She refused that offer. Next I attempted to explain my schedule to her, that I had started another project, not knowing when the vanity installation would be completed in the lower bathroom. My resolution was to reschedule myself and be there Tuesday or Wednesday of that week. The next day she said Tuesday or Wednesday would not work and I would have to wait until Monday of the following week after I had already changed my schedule to accommodate her. I told her that I could not ask my current client to reschedule again and she still expected me to be there on Monday. I decided to withdraw from the project completely due to her lack of cooperation. In her complaint *** claims that I did not install lighting or hang mirrors. This work could not be done until the vanity was installed so I removed them from the bill. She paid the adjusted bill in full. Please see attached.
