I am rejecting this response because: the store did not provide me with a credit as I provided them with a coupon that I received via mail in December There appears to be ongoing information being provided by the identified store locationDue to trust issues with that store location, I am no longer comfortable having them service my vehicle so a store credit to that location is not acceptable.Regards,

I purchased a used vehicle from them about weeks agoDuring my purchase I was forced to add a a service contract onto my purchaseI tried to have it removed, but with no such luckI tried contacting several times via phone but no calls were returnedI go in and was sent back and forth from dealer to dealer, because the car was on one lot, but sold from the other

We reviewed the sequence of events that transpired with [redacted] and found that the additional time the vehicle was down was to ensure that the diagnosis was accurate and would in fact resolve the customers issue with the vehicle. As the customer stated in their complaint, the condition happened...

intermittently. It is very unfortunate that the customer was inconvenienced but we did make a good faith effort in trying to resolve her complaint before the customer left the dealership. As a sign of goodwill our customer service agent provided a $25.00 discount towards the cost of the repair which is approximately 15% off of the total cost of repair. In an effort to satisfy the customer, we are willing to provide a store credit of $75.00 towards any future purchases with our organization. We are not willing to provide a full refund as the customer has obtained the benefit of our parts and labor.Should you have any further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me directly. With kind regards,

Review: On Saturday October 26, 2013, I, [redacted], purchased a 2013 Hyundai Sonata from Pohanka Hyundai dealership, located at [redacted], MD [redacted]. Throughout the course of the transaction, I worked with a salesperson [redacted] (last name unknown), who informed me of the special 0% financing Hyundai had available for well-qualified buyers. (See attached image of the current ad which has the same terms). [redacted] proceeded to run my credit, and informed me I had a near perfect credit score of 780. With this credit score and $5,200 in total down payment, [redacted] told me I most certainly qualified for the 0% interest rate. Upon this representation, I decided to purchase the vehicle. My friend [redacted] was with me and witnessed the entire transaction, including the representation that I was eligible for a 0% interest rate.

[redacted] transferred me to [redacted], Finance Director at Pohanka (although the paperwork was signed as [redacted]), to complete the necessary paperwork. **. [redacted] did not attempt to explain any of the terms of the paperwork. She hurriedly told me where to sign, which I did, assuming that the terms as told to me by [redacted] were reflected in the paperwork. It was not until after I purchased the vehicle and went to make my first payment that I realized the paperwork said the financing interest rate was 3.75% instead of the promised 0%. (See attached agreement).

Thinking it was a mistake on their part, I called the dealership to inform them of what I thought was a clerical error. They informed that because I signed the paperwork there was nothing I could do besides refinance the vehicle. I then asked to speak with the general manager, [redacted], who they transferred me to but there was no answer. I have attempted to contact **. [redacted] on at least five occasions, and he has not once returned my calls. I also attempted to call Hyundai Motor Finance, who directed me back to **. [redacted] at Pohanka.

This process has been extremely troubling. I am a 76 years old Air Force widow with near perfect credit. At this point, I strongly believe that I was defrauded into purchasing the vehicle at materially different terms to those which I had agreed. I am sick to my stomach and have lost sleep worrying about this ordeal. If someone at Pohanka could have just called me back this could have been resolved quickly and amicably. Now, however, I have to resort to filing this complaint. Moreover, I have spoken to the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau, and they said this is not the first time a senior citizen has had trouble with Pohanka. I would like to mediate the case and receive the interest rate that has been promised to me. I look forward to hearing from you soon.Desired Settlement: Adjust the interest rate to that promised.

Review: The absolute worse and shadiest dealership, EVER. First of all, every employee (that I have encountered) at this dealership is either a liar, an it, manipulative, deceptive, or a combination of all. This includes the sales manager, the service manager, the finance manager, the girl at the service counter (no longer there), and the salesman who sold us the car (no longer there).

Without going into a million details, we were lied to about the history of our 2011 Sonata Turbo that we purchased, with only 8k miles on it. We were made to believe that we were getting a great deal and that there are absolutely no problems with the car, one previous owner, and had been sitting in the lot only because they were busy rolling out the newer models. Maybe we are partially to blame since we didn't do our own research on this specific car, but we blindly trusted "the #1 Hyundai dealership in the area," as touted in their commercial. Who gave them this title, anyway?! I'm not sure if we were shown a fake Carfax report or what, but when we paid for the report online recently, there were several other things previously wrong with the car that we were not informed of.

The first sign something was amiss: within a week, I had to take it back to them to get "reinspected". All the service manager did was sign off on it without even driving or looking under the hood. When I asked, he said, "oh yeah" and drove it for about 3 minutes. I didn't pay much attention because at that point, I was still excited about my new car. A few weeks later I was noticing the transmission was shifting pretty hard. I called Pohanka and told them we'd be bringing it and and need a loaner for the day. The service counter girl told us that they don't have loaner cars. WHAT?! I ended up taking it to [redacted], closer to my home. [redacted] fixed the issue by replacing some kind of sensor that went bad. Another odd discovery--when we got the finance paperwork, it stated that the car had been in a flood. I called finance company and told them this was incorrect and they said according to the vin #, it was. I didn't think that much of it until fast forward 6 months and I begin to smell a mildew/mold stench in the car. Wasn't sure what the cause was until I noticed a water stain on my headliner, which was also damp. Once again, I took it to [redacted] and they tell me the back window seal has a leak, which is NOT covered under warranty and costs approx. $650 to replace. Of course, Pohanka is not returning my numerous calls or emails. I haven't even mentioned the unreturned numerous calls I have made to various departments at Pohanka regarding check engine lights randomly coming on; it took almost 3 months to get my tags even after the temps expired; the fact that I STILL, after almost 9 months, don't have a copy of my title; and the few people I have been able to speak with have been rude and completely unapologetic.Desired Settlement: Make the necessary repairs.
