On November 1, at 10:00pm we received a call from the *** Police Department to impound a *** *** ***. The owner of the vehicle was *** ***. We arrived at 10:08pm, loaded the vehicle at 10:15pm and unloaded in our storage facility at 10:42pm. When a Wrecker service
tows a vehicle into their storage facility, they immediately can charge $for storage fees. Every day it is here there is a $storage fee plus tax. Per Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation rule 85.722, d(1)--it states, a daily storage fee may be charged for any part of the day, except that a daily storage fee may no be charged for more than one day if the vehicle remains at the VSF less than hours. In this paragraph a day is considered to begin and end at midnight. We unloaded at 10:42pm, so that was a $plus tax charge and then after midnight I charged another $plus tax because the vehicle was not picked up within the hours per TDLR rules
In the complaint, the individual claims we did not provide them with the rights of the owner. I have attached a signed copy of the rights that the person picking up the vehicle signed
The last complaint they had was for the fuel charge. On my rate sheet posted with TDLR and in my offices, the minimum charge is posted for fuel charge and the $is within the posted charges
I have responded to all the complaints and I believe the charges were fair and therefore I will not refund any monies

I am rejecting this response because:
The company states that it is "fair" to charge a customer or gallons of fuel when they used 1/gallon. The company states it is "fair" to define a hour period as days. What they did was to take full advantage of a young college student that found himself in a very difficult situation. They might feel different if they stopped referencing all the Licensing and Regulations rules, the signs posted on the wall and look at the situation with a bit of old fashioned reasonableness. Too bad when the all-mighty dollar wins over principles. They call it fair, we call it greed where I come from.
By the way the car referenced is not the car towed. We own a *** *** ***
