Polar Bear Air has been servicing my home heating and cooling system since 2007.

During that time repairs to the system were made to eliminate the loss of Freon from the system. Regular annual maintenance has preserved the life of the Rheem heating equipment and ensured that the system performs well in summer and winter. Polar Bear Air also installed an Aprilaire system, which was replaced under warranty contract. In those few instances when we needed emergency service for our heating or cooling systems the owner and his associates have responded during the same day and have fixed the problem. Polar Bear Air will be my choice for home heating and cooling for the duration.

I had a great experience with Polar Bear Air! The owner, Jim is very knowledgeable. My air-handler was 30 years old, and I needed a new AC system. I already received 3 quotes. All of my quotes were from [redacted] approved contractors. Jim was the only contractor that during my free estimate, measured my house to determine the size unit I needed...and also the only one that determined some of my ducts were the incorrect size. He took the time to explain some other options (just replacing the air-handler and not the condenser). He discussed all the pros and cons of each option in a professional manner. He brought literature from consumer reports backing the most reliable brand of air conditioner, which is what he installs. He explained to me the issues of an oversize unit...which he could have easily sold and made more money.
His [redacted] crew arrived on time and were all very respectful and trust-worthy. They came in with drop-cloths and were so clean! They took the bagged trash to the curb and even brought in my empty recycle can from the curb!
I came home to a clean, cool house...with a new programmable thermostat and an attic fan that were a part of their package. My old unit was hung in the middle of the attic and they installed the new unit toward the back of the attic to give me more free attic space.
Overall, my experience was awesome. Besides having a cool house and feeling like I received a great deal....I was treated with respect and not once did Jim make me feel inferior with all the questions I had as a single mom.
