When the Going Gets Tough(er)......Polar Energy Systems.....Disappears I own a 19th century cottage circa in London Since moving in years ago, I have installed a new bathroom, new kitchen, addressed plumbing issues, electrical deficiencies, rebuilt and plaster lathe walls (a ten step process), completely redecorated, added a new water line from the street....and the list goes on (and on, and on as anyone with an old house knows only too well) [redacted] As someone spending my hard-earned income on these projects [redacted] , I don't tolerate poor workmanship Nor should anyone Too may home owners tolerate poor practice, shoddy workmanship and delays of the ad infinitum variety With this in mind, I invited Polar Energy Systems to my home to explore insulating the walls and the attic space You see, I don't have any insulationNoneIt was explained to me the benefits of their approach (fibreglass vscellulose), grant availability (YES!), their commitment to the customer, etc, etc However, when I turned the tables as it were and said that I did expect s good job and that I was someone they probably wouldn't want to mess with [redacted] I could see that I had intimidated the gentleman from PolarI reinforced this notion when he saw my [redacted] in the driveway and I explained when [redacted] wouldn't honour a warranty issue I took them to task by means a semi-legal process called [redacted] that we as consumers have access to Afterwards, the gentlemen from Polar left me with the understanding that he would get back to me the next day with a quote I waited and waited No quote has ever come either via telephone or email I can only conclude that I scared him (and the company) off My honesty (I need to see a good job I don't tolerate poor workmanship and I am aware of legal and community dispute mechanisms) seems to have intimidated him We have rights as consumers Legal and otherwise I think their disappearance speaks volumes about their commitment and ability to work with customers Even if my "conspiracy theory" is not correct, there seems to be a communication problem Polar had both my cell phone number and my emailThey wasted my valuable time in giving them an opportunity to quote on the job without any kind of follow up It's also downright rude If you don't don't want the job, tell me openly and honestly [redacted] Instead of working with me, Polar disappeared

When the Going Gets Tough(er)......Polar Energy Systems.....Disappears

I own a 19th century cottage circa 1870 in London. Since moving in 1.5 years ago, I have installed a new bathroom, new kitchen, addressed plumbing issues, electrical deficiencies, rebuilt and plaster lathe walls (a ten step process), completely redecorated, added a new water line from the street....and the list goes on (and on, and on as anyone with an old house knows only too well).

As someone spending my hard-earned income on these projects [redacted], I don't tolerate poor workmanship. Nor should anyone. Too may home owners tolerate poor practice, shoddy workmanship and delays of the ad infinitum variety.

With this in mind, I invited Polar Energy Systems to my home to explore insulating the walls and the attic space. You see, I don't have any insulation. None. It was explained to me the benefits of their approach (fibreglass vs. cellulose), grant availability (YES!), their commitment to the customer, etc, etc. However, when I turned the tables as it were and said that I did expect s good job and that I was someone they probably wouldn't want to mess with [redacted] I could see that I had intimidated the gentleman from Polar. I reinforced this notion when he saw my [redacted] in the driveway and I explained when [redacted] wouldn't honour a warranty issue I took them to task by means a semi-legal process called [redacted] that we as consumers have access to. Afterwards, the gentlemen from Polar left me with the understanding that he would get back to me the next day with a quote. I waited and waited. No quote has ever come either via telephone or email. I can only conclude that I scared him (and the company) off. My honesty (I need to see a good job. I don't tolerate poor workmanship and I am aware of legal and community dispute mechanisms) seems to have intimidated him. We have rights as consumers. Legal and otherwise. I think their disappearance speaks volumes about their commitment and ability to work with customers.

Even if my "conspiracy theory" is not correct, there seems to be a communication problem. Polar had both my cell phone number and my email. They wasted my valuable time in giving them an opportunity to quote on the job without any kind of follow up. It's also downright rude. If you don't don't want the job, tell me openly and honestly.
