Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2018/01/30) */
I'm sorry you experienced a less than ideal interaction for your child at Sala Family Dentistry. I pride myself on patient care and strive to provide nothing but optimal service to all of my patients. Due to the fact that there are many aspects...

involved in planning every patient's treatment, philosophies between practitioners often vary. I stand behind my professional opinion for treatment of your child based on my experience, interaction with him as well as keeping his healthy and safety in the forefront of my mind
General anesthesia is a treatment option for many young uncooperative pediatric patients that is only performed on patients who are well reviewed and solid candidates for this specific care. Patients who may qualify for this intervention are typically combative, resistant to routine exams in the dental setting or those of a young age with extensive treatment needs. Offering general anesthesia as a treatment modality is never taken lightly by myself or forced upon a patient and/or parent. It is instead discussed at length and agreed upon between myself and a parent(s) with many opportunities for questions and concerns to be addressed.
Treatment options for patients are derived from years of training, standards of care and experience that allow the best opportunity to deliver high quality care in a compassionate setting. Many children and their parents flourish in Sala Family Dentistry's environment as I try to foster trust and cooperation all while delivering individual well thought out care. I strive to meet everyone's expectations and apologize that I was unable to meet yours.
Although it was out of my control to refund your $200 deposit as this non-refundable deposit was with the anesthesiologist who is not an employee of sala family dentistry. I was informed that he indeed did refund you the $200. I am happy to hear that this issue was able to be reconciled
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000, 7, 2018/01/31) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
Thank you. I have received my refund and this has been resolved.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 5, 2016/06/09) */
Sala Family Dentistry guarantees our work. We honored our guarantee for all the fillings that you made us aware came out, and you were not charged. Insurance was not billed, nor did they pay, for the work that was redone. Our records do not...

indicate that you came back twice for everything that was done. We replaced 3 fillings under the guarantee, at no charge. The collections balance is from the date of service 9/2/2015. Services were performed: one new filling and one that the (3 year) guarantee had expired on. That was your last visit. In February 2016, you canceled an appointment and also no showed to an appointment with the dentist. We would have appreciated the opportunity to evaluate the fillings if they fell out.

Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 7, 2016/06/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I did tell the dentist that all my fillings have fallen out again. Their response was, come back and we will replace them. I should not be required to keep coming back. If somebody wants to reevaluate the work done. You will see that all the fillings are gone. The last time that I was in for a chipped front tooth.2 weeks later it was chipped again. I would of appreciated it if Sala Family dentistry would of given me a chance to pay what they say I owe. I started paying and maybe the payments were not enough for them. Then they sent me to collections. I do not want to pay for nothing.I have a chip on the front tooth and no fillings left. Thank you for your time. This has been a terrible experience. I think I will notify my insurance company and see exactly what and how many time they were charged. For duplicate repairs.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 17, 2016/06/30) */
The situation is best discussed in person during an evaluation.
Final Consumer Response /* (2000, 19, 2016/07/01) */
(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
