This customer ordered work to be done and gave a deposit. She then called and told us her son will be calling. Her son did call to tell us he wanted to change her order but wasn't sure what they wanted...

Review: Stated company was contracted to complete repairs on home following damage from a burst water pipe. Contractor hired 1/#/14. Work was to include removal of water from basement , removal of damaged walls and debriment . Interior floors to be dried and mold resistant paint to be sprayed along with waste removal and debri. The first payment was for $9,500 . Work was to be continued with installment of new insulation ,dry wall ,repair replace as needed damaged electrical. The second payment was given for 10,0000. The home was left unsecured work not completed as stated in contract. .Water was left in basement basement interior walls not being removed allowed for black mold to grow not only on all interior but exterior siding and shingels . Work was started never completed thus causing further damage to structure.This extensive damage will cause us an $65,000 plus to resolve . Numerous calls to [redacted] were made,followed by many excuses. First he was very sick with pneumonia no work done. Many promises made. When calling co phone would ring no answer. Next excuse was he did not have the right permits and work was shut down . We came to find there was never any permits and no order to shut down work . He then stated he had permits but was unfortunately out of town due to death in the family and just happened to take my house keys so no work could get done . He then claimed to have lost his lead foreman and he took many workers with him . Again assured us work would start and be complete. Contractor stated he worked with beacon house and could rent property for us as well if we so wished.When going to his place of work 6/#/14 [redacted] was unable to reach him . She reviewed our contract was "not at liberty to share a resolution with me ". The contractor /[redacted] also has personal belonging that were in my home. He stated he would keep them safe in his warehouse. Not only was work not completed but work that was done left damage to property. Sheetrock all over lawn and debri that I received complaints from state legislator No work has been completed since started in January . Many calls. were made to contractor at his business and to his cell however no resolution reached or calls returned since early 5/#/14,It was at this time I was told my belongings would be brought to my house but no words of incompleted job . Sadly stuff never returned and job left . We feel he has had adequate time to resolve with us and has not. It is at this time we would like a refund. Thank youDesired Settlement: The resolution for me would be a refund of the 3 transactions #1 $9,500 to my credit card . #2#3 refund of money to my husbands bank and credit card $10,000.

Review: On April * 2014 Salesman [redacted] Working for Polcari Construction Co.at [redacted] came to my home and gave me an estimate for some construction to be done on a back wall and front of House. He requested a $800 down payment on the work,with $1400 to be paid on completion of said work! I Gave him The $800 Check # [redacted] which was cashed on April April [redacted] 2014. From that Time untill

May ** I Have called the company ,and [redacted], to try to find out when work was to begin,called at least 6 times both the business number and [redacted] with No responce!

On May [redacted] I did get a phone call from [redacted] who said work would start june [redacted] 2014,since june * the [redacted] has called twice to reschedule the job due to lack of help,couldn't get doors that were promised etc.etc. Recieved another call from Polcari construction that they would start job definately on June [redacted] after 2 more changes of dates! No One Showed up June [redacted] and after numerus calls To Both [redacted] and The Company telephone numbers I have had no Responce ,no phone backs no answering of messages left on machines!Desired Settlement: I would like my $800 refunded,company never performed any service!

Review: Back in late May 2013 I recieved a call from a contracting company asking if I needed work done. They offered a free estimate so I agreed to a visit. The name of the company was Polcari's Construction. The came by on a Saturday in early June 2013. It was a salesmen and an assistant. They measured the driveway (66' X 11 or 12')and qouted me $3800 for the job. Sounded like a great deal, so I asked how much down payment. He said half if you want to reserve a date. At first I was a little hesitant but I figured I do it through Paypal so I have a record. So The salesman called Polcari's Construction and gave them my information and the date of July [redacted] 2013. I then went in the house and paid on Paypal. The salesman then gave me an estimate reciept and a Contract reciept with the 7/**/13 date on it and the details of the driveway job and the payment of $1900 through paypal. Time passed and July [redacted] 2013 came upon us. I took off work that day and lost a vacation day to welcome the contractors. By noon that day there was no contractors or calls. I called up Polcari's and left a message; the secretary eventually called back and said that there were no cement driveways scheduled for that day? She said that ** the owner would call back and he did. He apologized and blame the miscommunication on the sub contractor ([redacted] - ###-###-####). He said the contractor would call and come by to remeasure. He did on the [redacted] or [redacted] of June. My nieghbor confirmed that there was someone there measuring the driveway. I then called the sub-contractor back and he said he was working on getting supplies for the job? Anyhow that was the last time I talked to either one of them. I continue to leave meassages (about 15 or so) without ever getting a person or call back.Desired Settlement: At this point I would like my $1900 back and an apology for not returning my calls. That is not a very professional way to handle a customer service issue.

Polcari Construction has contacted me twice over the last three weeks but not in response to the Revdex.com compliant. The first time they called they said they would be sending and refunding my down payment of $1900 in full by next week. That was over a week and a half ago. They then called back and said they ran into an issue and would be sending it shortly? Not sure what their definition of shortly is but I am pretty sure it isn't quick.

At this point I am not sure what my options are? I called up and left a message that I was filing a compliant with consumer affairs but that seems to have no effect. Can I file criminal charges against the company or individual? It's over $600 so that would be considered fraud and larceny, correct?

Any suggestions, guidance, or help is appreciated at this time.

Review: [redacted] gave me a written agreement on January *, 2014 to complete a garage conversion at my house within three days. He requested a deposit o f$200.00 which was given to him immediately. He stated that the would begin the work on January *. On the [redacted], he called to reschedule for January * due to bad whether. He never called and never showed up. Ever since, I called him again several times, but every time I called, he would reschedule for the next two days. This had been going on for three months. In April 2014, I told him that since he never came to do the job that I would like to obtain my deposit back. He promised that he would send me a check week after week for the past two months but he never did. Every time I will call him he kept on saying that "this time I will put it in your mailbox" He never did. I would like your help obtaining my money back. I am a poor single mother with a part time job.Desired Settlement: I would like to obtain my refund of $200.00 please.

Review: On 3/**/2014 I met with a salesman from Polcari Construction Co. and signed a contract to have kitchen cabinets, drawers ,countertop , sink and lighting purchased and installed. I gave Polcari Construction Co. 3 separate deposits for the work totaling $ 4,250. One deposit was for the cabinets, the 2nd was for add on items, the 3rd was for a granite countertop. .

Polcari Constriction Co. came to my home in May 2014 to measure for the new countertop and removed my existing countertop . They broke the piping under my sink which has rendered my sink inoperable, they did not repair it. They removed the backsplash and did not put it back up, they unscrewed and removed my countertop and left it unscrewed, creating a significant safety hazard.

As of 7/**/2014 no work has been started. Repeated calls to the company have gone unanswered.

On 7/**/2014, I contacted the granite company from which Polcari Construction Co. was to have ordered my countertop from and they advised me that no order, measurements or deposit was given to them from Polcari Construction Co.

On 7/**/2014, I attempted to contact the Polcari Construction Co. main office telephone and salesman cell phone and both have been disconnected with no alternate contact information.Desired Settlement: A refund of the deposits totaling $4,250 is requested.

Review: We used Polcari Construction simply from a cold call. We're sorry we didn't look further into the construction company because there have been many complaints filed against it. We hired Polcari Construction to put in gutter guards and power wash our roof. all went well. we then enlisted them to redo a brick walkway and put in new columns on our front porch .We also discussed putting a new railing on our porch.

We have paid ,in full, for the work that was completed above. That leaves the railing which we have paid 7940.00 in down payments .This was as of December *,2013. As of yet we have not received our railing and numerous attempts to call Polcari Construction have gone unheeded by them. After we contacted the person who was to construct the railing he said Polcari did not give him a down payment ,as he requested before starting our railing .Consequently he did not start work on the railing.

It is now June and we have yet to hear from Polcari Construction. Therefore we will proceed with legal action.

Review: On 4/**/14 met with contractor about work to be done, he asked for a $1500 deposit. I informed him that my son Inlaw would have the final say. After speaking with my son inlaw and daughter, I called the same day and spoke to the [redacted] ([redacted]) and informed him I wanted to cancel the transaction. He tried to convince me otherwise so I told him my son inlaw would call him, he did call that same day around 4pm and he also told the [redacted] to cancel and to return my deposit to me. He promised Tuesday 4/** no show, and then after that he promised numerous times up until Saturday 4/**. I tried calling again that Saturday getting no answer. P.s. On Wednesday morning I called my bank to stop payment and learned that my check had been cashed on 4/**. My invoice states that I had 3 days to cancel our transaction. As of today I have not heard from nor have I received my $1500. I am a handicapped senior citizen on a fixed income and I don't have this kind of money to waste or have to wait on. PLEASE HELP!Desired Settlement: Just want my $1500 back as soon as possible. I feel I have been taken advantage of and that these people are using my monies to their advantage. I am so agitated and stressed behind this matter!

Review: Non-delivery and installation of 5 doors and 1 special order window. Shoddy construction of portico with inferior wood and nails sticking out of top and splitting the wood. I had to hire someone to take down the portico and put concrete footings under the base. Most appointments were canceled. [redacted] claims to work for many police officers and to have been in business for 20 years. License is less than 1 year old and in [redacted]'s name.Desired Settlement: I want all my money plus cost of taking down portico returned to me in cash or a certified bank check. I gave a total of $5190.00 in 3 checks plus $150 for removal of portico and repair of gutters equals $5340.00.

Review: I set up 3 contracts to put siding on my house; the south side of the house, I gave [redacted] ([redacted]) a deposit, when he finished, the balance of the 1st contract was paid, he started the back of the house, again I gave him a deposit, and when he finished paid the balance of the 2nd contract. The 3rd contract, he said it would only be a day, he asked if he could be paid in full, based on his past work, I paid him in full for the 3rd contract ($2,100) In April he started giving me all excuses why the job was not started, someone died in the family, supply house had siding back ordered, it was a holiday weekend, another time he said he fired the whole crew for smoking marijuana, other times no excuse just never showed up when promised, I made phone calls (went to voice mail) sent text messages, was told his crew would be there. I would call him and say no one was here, I would call and text him at least 2 to 3 times a week. I was told once his boys would be there with bells on to finish the job. About 3 weeks ago, after I called him several time during the day and at night, he sent a crew over and they took the shingles of the front, the garage and part of the side. They bagged it up and put it in the front of the house on the street (20 bags). His excuse was the supply house ran out of the siding to finish the house; so parts of the sides have bare wood and ripped tar paper. The nails they pulled out are lying in the dirt on both sides of the fence. I have 2 dogs, I think the small dog stepped on some nails and cut her foot. Now he has abandoned the job completely, I asked for a refund and there have been no responses.Desired Settlement: Would like a full refund and we can just walk away from each other.
