On 05/09/our technician went to Mrs*** “***” *** house at E123rd Street in Olathe, KansasShe scheduled an appointment with us (Polestar Plumbing, Heating & Air Conditioning) in regards to her AC unit, which had not been running properlyA little back history between
Polestar and Mrs***: In Ms*** called on us because she wanted a new AC unitWe worked with Mrs*** to make it work financially, and ended up installing a used system for her at a discounted priceHowever, since she has not had the unit serviced once Upon arrival, our technician knocked on the door and her son answered the doorHer son had no idea about the service call, so he called his father and his father confirmed that our technician was in fact supposed to be there, so the son let our technician into the houseThe first thing our technician did upon entry into the house was to check that the evaporator wasn’t frozenAfter this he took the wet bulb and the dry bulb temperatureFrom there he headed outside to inspect the air conditioner unitThis is where he noticed there was a hole in the Line Set as it entered Ms***’s homeThis is where the R-refrigerant was leakingAt this point Mrs*** was home, after arriving midway through the service call, and our technician conferred with Mrs*** and told her what he had found upon his inspection of her unit, and told her what the repair would costHe then collected the standard diagnostic fee from Mrs***, which would’ve counted toward the total repair costOur technician only quoted the repair and did not, at any point, tell Mrs*** that she needed a completely new systemOur technician and Mrs*** then shook hands and our technician left her homeThe ending to our visit was not hostile by any means. Polestar previously accepted "Home Projects Credit" by [redacted].  Unfortunately, we made the business decision to no longer offer this plan by [redacted] because of the unnecessary charges that were being assessed every month.  This decision was just recently made and as of November...

13, 2015 our account is closed.  We were unaware that our customer was using this card for payment.  She stated that we should have called her, which we did once the card number was declined.  We called and explained that it was declined and that is when she informed us that she was using the "Home Projects Credit" by [redacted].  These cards have a VISA number, expiration date and security code just like a revolving credit card does, but these cards are not revolving so they are required to be ran differently.  The office immediately called [redacted] in order to see if we could get this charge ran through for our customer.  Not only were we informed that the customer only had $600 available which wasn't enough for the purchase, but also that our account had been closed, November 13, 2015.  No charge was made to our customer's card because we never received an actual VISA card.  After speaking with the customer on two different occasions, we decided to only charge for the plumbing installation and to remove the purifier from her home per her request.
