When Poletic Fitness first announced their year membership promo, I signed up via telephone. Their website was not working, so I provided my credit card information over the phone. I mentioned that I was frequently traveling for work and was looking forward to seeing them during the holidays. The promotional deal was such a good discount, it made sense to sign up for a year membership even though I would be using my membership mostly in Q4.I tried to make a few classes sporadically, but they had teacher changes in the summer, cancelled classes here and there, etc. Then when I was finally able to make their class on a weekend, the studio was shut out. Then the studio was closed down. I asked on their Facebook page about the refund policy, and they noted that refunds would only be offered to those who were in recent attendance, somehow my account had been marked as a dormant account. I was never notified that if I didn't attend classes in a certain time period I would lose any sort of eligibility. I sent an email describing my situation and never heard back from them, despite having mentioned my situation briefly on their Facebook page.I have heard of others who have filed a claim against them in order to get their refund. I purchased a year membership (paid in full) for yoga and pole classes. This place failed to pay its rent on time which caused them to close their doors and no longer offer classes. They are now not responding to my emails in which I am requesting a refund of the unused portion of my membership.Product_Or_Service: 1 year pole and yoga gym membershipDesired SettlementI am asking for a refund on the unused portion of my membership. I paid $189.00 on 3/27/15 and the gym closed it's doors on 9/10/15.Business Response The 12 month purchase had a no refund policy attached at the time of purchase. That refund policy was revised to accommodate the active members of Poletic Fitness. If a member has not used their membership for classes in 90 days, the membership is dormant and deactivated until they use it again. We have sent multiple refunds to active members per the company policy in place.Members are informed of this and have full access to their membership contracts in their online accounts via our tracking system.In this case, we did correspond with [redacted] and she did not like our response so she chose to escalate to a Revdex.com case. Our membership refunds have been turned over to a third party for the purpose of objective and timely dispursement. Consumer Response (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)I have received no correspondence from Poletic Fitness. I sent my first email on 10/7/15 and then a follow up email on 10/23/15; that is why I had to resort to using this method to get this company to speak to me. I purchased one year of membership for $189.00. The company has defaulted on fulfilling their portion of the contract. As a consumer who paid for a service, I should either receive that service or a refund for what the company defaulted on.
