Polvo's Downtown

I was in Austin for a friends birthday and we went to Polvos Downtown for dinner. When we got seated it took the waiter 30 min to take our drink order and then another 30 min after that to us to get our food to be put in. We had to wait 20 min for our drinks and then almost 45 min for our food to come. When we told our waiter we were upset he did not offer any sort of compensation (free appetizer or drink) for the inconvenience. When our food finally came the waiter dropped an entire plate of food on my foot and on the floor. He asked if I was okay but did not bother getting someone to clean up the mess. We asked the waiter for the manager and he stated he was the manager which did not make sense because he refused to accommodate us and we were not looking for a lot just to compensate $50 worth on a $250 bill. After calmly talking to him about our frustration he would not understand and when I stated he had gotten food on my shoes which did cost me $80 he then gave me attitude and said "oh you said that you were fine" while yes I did not want to make it a big deal it still is a big deal. What if the shoes where $700? Then after he said he took off a pitcher of margaritas the bill still had the pitcher on there. I have worked in customer service for over 10 years and I have never dealt with disrespect like that in my entire life. After everything when I was asking for a merely $50 off the bill they called the cops on me and my friends on refusing to pay the bill which was not the case it was because we wanted to be compensated over terrible customer service. I work for a living I do not have issues paying my bill. I have never been to a restaurant that could not solve a problem like this or at least be able to provide a manager to be able to speak with. There was a case at this restaurant about over back paying wages and damages so clearly this restaurant does care about people.
