Please review and see attachmentComplaint # [redacted] The tenant had rented previously and came in and wanted a smaller unit last yearHe came in on July 21st and said he was moving outThen he came back in and said he would need another unit because he would be transferring from smaller unit to a bigger unit because he was moving from his homeAnd when the computer transferred him it came out to be $As per his rental agreement his unit rate was $a month, he had never rented a unit for $a month from usWe tell every customer, and it’s written in the contract agreement, we DO NOT carry insurance for the tenants, we are not an insurance brokerI let the customer know this, I had him fill out the brochure from [redacted] ***, which he can only initial box He initialed the top box, I showed him a brochure about who and where he needed to contact to let him know how much it would cost himI then explained to him that if he didn’t want to do [redacted] ***, he can go through his insurance agent or he can check the “be self-insured” box instead, which means he didn’t want/need insurance, and that if anything happened he would not have any coverageHe said it was too expensive and didn’t want insurance, he then crossed out the top box and initialed the bottom oneNo money that he gave us went towards insurance.We have brochures on the counter for insurance, anyone at any time can pick one up.Customer came in on April 1st to make his payment, he had said that him and his partner had to move out of their house, and go into hiding because there were people shooting at themThey had to go live in a motel, and also had to purchase a new truck so no one could recognize themHe said he would give me a different address when he found oneHe said his partner was in jail and his truck has been impoundedHe stated that he had just got out of the hospital, and stayed there since he didn’t have his truck he would be homeless for a whileHe said a detective was trying to work with him regarding the shootingI felt bad for him, so I waived the late charge for rentHe said he might be staying in a motel with Police protection, and that he would let me know.The fire happened on April 21st I was informed by the building inspector that parts of the building were considered unsafe and nobody was allowed inI was told everyone needed to vacate this building so they could renovateAll the units experienced smoke, water, heat, and some had fire damage Most of the locks were cut by fire personal looking for fire, the rest were cut for the inspectors.It took a few days before I could reach the costumer, I was able to reach him on the 23rd once I did I let him know I would keep him up to date on the progressWe contacted everyone on May 13th letting them know they need to move out of Building AWe let all the customer know they could move to a different storage unit on the property as long as they wiped down their belongings before placing them in the new unitWe supplied rags, soap, water, and bucketsThis customer said he was going to moving off the premises, however the customer told me his vehicle was in the shop, and was unable to move at that timeHe said as soon as he got it out he would probably be moved out in another week, unless he could find someone to help him move out soonerIt took him awhile to move out his last day here was June 12th Please see attached documents-- Thank YouEdith R***Pony Express Mini StorageBromley Business ParkwayBrighton CO [redacted]

smaller unit to a bigger unit because he was moving from his home. And when the computer transferred him it came out to be $116.00. As per his rental agreement his unit rate was $140.00 a month, he had never rented a unit for $75.00 a month from us. We tell every customer, and it’s written in the contract agreement, we DO NOT carry insurance for the tenants, we are not an insurance broker. I let the customer know this, I had him fill out the brochure from [redacted], which he can only initial 1 box.  He initialed the top box, I showed him a brochure about who and where he needed to contact to let him know how much it would cost him.
