Review: [redacted] from DBEC, LLC placed a "WRITTEN CONTRACTED BID" of $647.00 on a shipment to move our belongings on UShip.com. He picked up our belongings and brought them to his location, 1,000 miles away from me and then told me that I owed almost (4) Times the original contracted amount and I needed to pay $2,134.89 and then he would release my property. He stated that the weight of my property was more than he thought and was charging for that after the fact. His BID and his company profile stated nothing about weight, it was a flat price to pickup our property and move it. He then lied repeatedly to myself, my husband, and Uship about this "CONTRACTED" transaction. Uship saw the truth and refunded my money due to him misrepresenting his company and himself. His company made demands in writing that he was going to put our belonging out in the open exposed to the elements if we did not have someone there immediately to pick them up within two days. They would not do anything to work with us regarding this and leaving us with no choice but to post our property again on UShip for a higher price. This business, its owner/employees are unprofessional, dishonest, unethical, and scam individuals for monetary gain! When you have a contract that is what you stick to - PERIOD!!Desired Settlement: If they can explain how they can give a WRITTEN CONTRACTUAL BID and then change it to what ever they want... I would like an explanation on that?

I am writing in response to Ms. [redacted]'s complaint against the company. Ms. [redacted] had a storage shed of various tools, lights, shelves and ladders that she needed shipped to Texas. She contacted me via a website called UShip.com. We discussed several times the reason the bids were high from others, were because she had some very large ladders that are too big for a pallet and take up a lot of room in a truck. She agreed to keep the ladders out, gave me a description of what was then left in the storage unit and an estimated weight of 900lbs. Based on that information, I bid $647.00 to ship her goods. In several conversations, based on our protocol here at DBEC LLC, prior to picking up the tools and such, we discussed that shipping was weight based. We had no problem picking up all the loose goods in the storage locker and palletizing and shrink wrapping them ourselves, but if the weight of the tools and such was over 900 lbs, there would be a price change. Ms. [redacted] once again stated that she felt as though she were over estimating the weight, but in the event that she was not correct, agreed to pay the price difference, and gave us the go ahead to move her tools.

Review: I purchased the SWDSIC Soda Water Dispenser System With Soda Water Spigot on February 23, 2015. I quickly received a payment confirmation email and my credit card was charged. After one week with no shipping notification, I called to inquire. I was told by a DBEC employee that the unit was in production and should ship out towards the end of the week. The following week, still no shipping notification. I called again, and was told that it would be shipping in a couple days. This went on for over a month and a half. I called every week, and was told the same thing: "It will ship out in a couple days." Finally, in early April, they told me the unit was on a semi truck, half way from Wisconsin to California, where I live. From there it would be transferred to UPS and I would receive a tracking number. Over a week later, April 9th, I finally received a tracking number. I received a box on April 17th. The item was not as advertised on their website. It was supposed to be a stainless steel refrigeration unit. The one I received is painted carbon steel. After recently talking to DBEC, I was told that the black unit is better and is their latest model, they just haven't updated their website (false advertising). They advertise a stainless steel unit, which was not what I received. They argue that the black painted steel is better, and costs an additional $150, so I am getting a good deal. Carbon steel rusts, and is in no way more expensive or superior to stainless. Either way, it is false advertising. They also told me the two month delay is due to the fact that what I ordered was a custom unit, since the hoses were 10 ft long, not the standard 6 ft. This would be understandable for the additional shipping time, but they should have disclosed that when I called every week for the past two months, rather than telling me it would ship that same week, every single time. Still no second package, and no tracking information. We were supposed to have this system for a party on April 9.Desired Settlement: The company refuses to offer me a full refund. Their website does say they charge a 25% restocking fee, and the $200 shipping is non-refundable. I would return this item, as I am very unhappy with being misled by the false advertising and the dishonesty by DBEC employees regarding shipping time. However, this would set me back $750 ($550 restocking and $200 shipping) to do so. I would like DBEC to provide me with the stainless steel refrigeration unit, and cover shipping costs both ways.

Everything this customer states is a lie, we tired to scam us out of a unit.American Express has already heard his complaint and ruled in our favor.

Review: I purchased a $2,500 soda dispenser system from this company, located in the city that I live in. I was told that he was delayed in delivering it (over a month) because he was setting it up, and making sure that it worked. When I received it, installed it, and powered it up, I found that the carbonator motor and cooling system didn't work. I emailed and texted him for weeks. When he finally replied, he said that he would get it working. weeks later, he still hasn't repaired it, and has stopped replying. too much time has passed to file a claim to PayPal (which processed the transaction).I have saved texts confirming all of this information, from March 10th (when it was delivered) to April 17th (today).Desired Settlement: Repair the soda system (which he told me he would do), or provide a partial refund of the $2,500 so I can have it repaired by someone else (don't know what that cost would be).

Response:

This machine was a used machine, not manufactured by Soda Bar System, refurbished and sold as is. This transaction was done between [redacted]. It was an Ebay purchase on a personal account, again, having nothing to do with the company.
