Review: I contracted with [redacted] from Pool FX to install a 33 foot above ground pool. The pool was installed and the next morning I noticed a leak and immediately texted a photograph of the leak. [redacted] responded that he would come and look at it. We met at my house and he said that he would like to have a diver look at it, but that the cost will be born by him, that he will pay for the diver, liner and replacement water. ( Note : I had to pay $740.00 for water to be trucked in at install ). So several weeks go by and still no resolution and pool is not being used. I tell him that I don't want a diver, I want a new liner, that it is a brand new pool that I can't use. [redacted] gets mad and says fine, waits another week and change and then comes over my house unexpected and calls me saying that it is not leaking bad enough and that he is sending the diver over and that is all he is doing. I tell him that this is a new pool and I deserve a new liner, not something with patches on it. He says too bad, that he only patches them unless the manufacturer covers his cost, he doesn't. I tell him that I don't care who covers the cost, I am the customer with a pool that is leaking. He again tells me that this is all he is willing to do after saying that my kids could have put the hole in the pool. This was in response to me saying that he could have put the hole in during installation and that he is responsible for that damage. He becomes irate and says that about the kids until I remind him that I have been sending him photographs and he has been to my house at the ladder is still not even installed in my pool. So the diver comes over and finds 2 holes, both caused by installer error, he described them as gouges. So after these 2 patches, the pool continues to leak where again I send more pictures and he comes back over. At this time [redacted] says that he is replacing my liner, but that he is now not paying for the water. I have him on speaker phone with my wife and kids listening and I ask him why he is going back on his word about paying for the water when he shook my hand in my back yard only weeks ago. He doesn't answer but after I persist he says that he is going back on his word and haven't I ever done that. I tell him that we had an agreement and that I honor my agreements and that running a business such as his, that this is a bad business decision. He says that all his is willing to do is pay for half the water and that I will have to pay for the other half. With no other option I tell him to replace the liner but tell him I'm taking him to small claims court for the other half. So now the liner gets replaced and he uses a screwdriver to remove the top rails of my brand new pool and he damages all of the caps except for one. Again, he is so mad that he doesn't care about the quality of his work or what he is doing to my property. It's like I'm doing him the favor of being his customer. So I'm billed directly by the water company for $370.00 and have a damaged top rail to boot.Desired Settlement: Refund of $370.00 plus new caps ordered and given to me. I will install them.
