Review: In 2010 Pools2000 replaced my inground vinyl pool liner. The liner currently is fading and appearing to fail around the main drain of the pool area. I have been in contact with both Pools 2000 and the liner manufacturer Loop-loc Corp. A visual inspection was setup by both parties concerned. I was later informed that it was their consensus that a clorine backup to the main drain area was to blame for the liner failure. A short time later I was contacted by Pools2000 and advised it was best to replace the liner as soon as possible before total failure would lead more damage and could affect the structural integrity of the pool. This came as quite a surprise as my first pool liner lasted 19 years. They also recommend that I install a check valve that would prevent any clorine from backing up into the main drain area. Total cost would be $2500. As a inground pool owner for over 20 years with no past history of this kind of issue this solution is unacceptable. This liner should not have failed within a 3 year time frame. I question their original replacement installation procedures. As a matter of practicality and fairness I certainly understand the some labor cost would be incurred but not at a price very close to what I paid 3 years earlier.
