[redacted] responding to a recent complaintWe are a licensed contractor registered with the City of San AntonioAs a Revdex.com member for years plus, we have never had a complaint and I was shocked to see this oneThe individual who filed the complaint (I will refer to him as He or Him in the balance of the paragraph) asked us during a phone call he placed to replace his roofWe had made a previous visit to the jobsite and determined the price would be $8,I told him on the phone and he said he had a bid for $5,so I told him to go with the other contractorHe said no, that he wanted us to do the replacementAs a potential friend, we sharpened our pencil and agreed to proceed at his price, making only a small profitI have attached our proposal signed by him, his invoice as well as a permit we pulled by the City of San AntonioThe gentleman asked us why we did not replace his metal chimney cap and we explained it did not need replaced and we did not have that listed in our bid proposalThe situation did not end hereHe made several phone calls to me asking for money which I did not entertainHe asked for $and I refusedHe then threatened me on the phone and said it just went higherHe said he would see us in court That was the last I heard from him and then we received this complaintLastly, our invoice which the gentleman was given a copy of states "Upon receipt of your payment, you are releasing any and all liens against Front Burner Group for work performed unless covered by warrantyRefer to your original proposal for warrantied items" I feel confident that we installed a quality roof on his home unless "others" worked on it after it was completedIf I can be of any additional assistance, please do not hesitate to call or emailRespectfully, [redacted] Front Burner Group

My Name is [redacted] ***I personally met with Mr [redacted] and provided the quote for the repairs of his home after the water damageTo begin with, I had ALL communication with Mr [redacted] via email so I have a paper trail of ALL conversationsThe work was to be done providing the household was EMPTY as his insurance company provided him with an onsite storage container, this was NOT done and myself and my men had to move all of his furnishings multiple times to complete the workThis was NOT in my original quote and it took more time for me to complete therefor cost me and extreme amount of moneyAt the completion my men brought items BACK into the apt and that was ALSO not in my contractI replaced the base kitchen cabinets (in contract), I offered the upper cabinets (at cost with no additional fees) because I did not want to see him with year old pup cabinets and brand new base cabinetsThe uppers (costing the amount as he stated $1,250.00) he agreed to pay over six month period, payments did not start for three after completion as he would not respond to meI also gave him a brand new counter top (that is in complaint) FREE OF CHARGE and it cost me $plus installation, Plus a new sink FREE OF CHARGE costing me $plus installation because I did not want to see new cabinets with old tops & sink etcI ALSO supplied and installed a new range hood vent FREE OF CHARGE that cost me $plus installation because I did not want to see the old one with new kitchenWe never painted over and outlet covers, In Fact I replaced ALL outlets in the living room and kitchen FREE OF CHARGEPlease keep in mind I ONLY did all of this because this man had a flood......I wanted to help him......and he WAS a nice cus***er the ENTIRE project, my business thrives on referrals and thats why I do some things for free for all my nice cus***ersA free item here and there goes a long way for meI WAS PAID IN FULL at completion after multiple attempts of contacting his Insurance company (I have all emails as well)If he paid me in full.......had NO complaints at time of completion (all conversations vis email) why is he complaining NOW? Because he does not want to pay me, thats whyHe stated he had unexpected tax payments and thats why he didn't send me the second payment........ironically now there is a complaint stating he DOES NOT WANT TO PAY THE BALANCEThere was a complaint before he paid my final payment that was the mirror door he stated, I said we did not do and he said [redacted] has pictures so I asked for the pictures and he never provided (all in emails)I then said "hey Steve, Im not cheap as you can see all the items I provided for free, If its a $door holding up my last payment I will get it for you)I then recieved my final payment and that was itAll of the sudden I ask for my second installment on the upper cabinets and he answered "Sorry [redacted] I had unexpected tax payments I will send out the payment" I said great thanks and now here we are with this complaintIts not the money I want, its my name and my work that I stand by

Unfortunately this gentleman is not telling the truthOur company completed his roof replacement and it was done correctlyAfter the work was completed, we meet him to receive payment for the completed jobAt this point he stated that we did not replace his chimney cap and wanted it replacedWe explained to him that his chimney cap was not in our proposal, but we could replace it for additional moniesThe gentleman stated that he did not care if it was in the original proposal because his insurance wanted it replacedWe explained to him that we never saw what his insurance wanted replaced because he refused to show usWe explained to him that he requested a bid for a roof replacement and that is the proposal we gave himThe gentleman was very upset that we refused to replace his chimney cap for free, even though it was never on the proposal we provided himAt this point he paid us with a check and released any and all liens against this company, as per the contract that he signedA couple of weeks later he contacted me and stated that he had a roofing company come to look at his roof and they stated it needed $worth of repairsHe told me that I needed to pay him $so that he could pay the other roofing companyHe never contacted me wanting me to look at any issues that were found, only asking for moneyThis is unacceptable and we have no issues with any of our many repeat clients

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:The issue wasn't the chimney cap and as I stated before, the first roofer didn't repairs evetything's that needed on my roof that's why I thought the Repairs will cost no more then $so I for varded this amount to FBG constructionsBut the second roofer climb on the roof and he saw the bad and ugly job that FBG roofing company did.I did spoke with Mr [redacted] the owner of the company before I started the repairs, I told him that the city inspector wouldn't climb on the roof he just look at the rooffronz outside and that's not enoughBut Mr [redacted] refused to come even to look at the mess that he created. Now to solve this problem I want FBG Construction Company to pay me back at least $to cover the repairs on my roof That's not included the painting of the drip edge on the roof that will cost between $to $1000,Perhaps soon after I'll need to do some more repairs or even to replace the whole roof!See attached pictures of that messy job and you'll the judge to tell inc ifthat's right to do this kind of work!Thank you, [redacted]

Mr*** has been upset because we refused to replace a chimney cap for freeIf Mr*** would have contacted us with concerns about his roof, we would have been more than happy to look at any issues he may have thought he hadThat is not what Mr*** chose to doInstead Mr*** chose to have another contractor come and supposedly fix some issuesMr*** then contacted us asking for money to pay the contractorThat is not the way we do business and not the way a customer should do businessThe pictures that Mr*** provided are not a true depiction of the way the roof was left when the work was completedMr*** as well as two other contractors have been on that roof, and we will not be responsible for any work that has been done to the roof or the condition the roof is now in

Complaint: ***
I am rejecting this response because:Mr*** *** the owner of FBG Construction not telling the truthAs I said before I did contacted him to come and look at the problem on my roof, but he refused to come and look at itAll the pictures that I sent to Revdex.com is true and correct, the business just trying to find all kind of excusesYou can send somebody to look at the repairs that has been done on my roof and you'll be the judge, if I telling the truth or notBut if Revdex.com not able to resolve this problems, then I reserve the right to take the business to court soon

balance of the paragraph) asked us during a phone call he placed to replace his roof. We had made a previous visit to the jobsite and determined the price would be $8,550.00. I told him on the phone and he said he had a bid for $5,100.00. so I told him to go with the other contractor. He said no, that he wanted us to do the replacement. As a potential friend, we sharpened our pencil and agreed to proceed at his price, making only a small profit. I have attached our proposal signed by him, his invoice as well as a permit we pulled by the City of San Antonio. The gentleman asked us why we did not replace his metal chimney cap and we explained it did not need replaced and we did not have that listed in our bid proposal. The situation did not end here. He made several phone calls to me asking for money which I did not entertain. He asked for $350. and I refused. He then threatened me on the phone and said it just went higher. He said he would see us in court.  That was the last I heard from him and then we received this complaint. Lastly, our invoice which the gentleman was given a copy of states "Upon receipt of your payment, you are releasing any and all liens against Front Burner Group for work performed unless covered by warranty. Refer to your original proposal for warrantied items" I feel confident that we installed a quality roof on his home unless "others" worked on it after it was completed. If I can be of any additional assistance, please do not hesitate to call or email. Respectfully, [redacted]. Front Burner Group

was EMPTY as his insurance company provided him with an onsite storage container, this was NOT done and myself and my men had to move all of his furnishings multiple times to complete the work. This was NOT in my original quote and it took more time for me to complete therefor cost me and extreme amount of money. At the completion my men brought items BACK into the apt and that was ALSO not in my contract. I replaced the base kitchen cabinets (in contract), I offered the upper cabinets (at cost with no additional fees) because I did not want to see him with 30 year old pup cabinets and brand new base cabinets. The uppers (costing the amount as he stated $1,250.00) he agreed to pay over six month period, payments did not start for three after completion as he would not respond to me. I also gave him a brand new counter top (that is in complaint) FREE OF CHARGE and it cost me $575.00 plus installation, Plus a new sink FREE OF CHARGE costing me $65.00 plus installation because I did not want to see new cabinets with old tops & sink etc. I ALSO supplied and installed a new range hood vent FREE OF CHARGE that cost me $90.00 plus installation because I did not want to see the old one with new kitchen. We never painted over and outlet covers, In Fact I replaced ALL outlets in the living room and kitchen FREE OF CHARGE. Please keep in mind I ONLY did all of this because this man had a flood......I wanted to help him......and he WAS a nice cus[redacted]er the ENTIRE project, my business thrives on referrals and thats why I do some things for free for all my nice cus[redacted]ers. A free item here and there goes a long way for me. I WAS PAID IN FULL at completion after multiple attempts of contacting his Insurance company (I have all emails as well). If he paid me in full.......had NO complaints at time of completion (all conversations vis email) why is he complaining NOW? Because he does not want to pay me, thats why. He stated he had unexpected tax payments and thats why he didn't send me the second payment........ironically now there is a complaint stating he DOES NOT WANT TO PAY THE BALANCE. There was a complaint before he paid my final payment that was the mirror door he stated, I said we did not do and he said [redacted] has pictures so I asked for the pictures and he never provided (all in emails). I then said "hey Steve, Im not cheap as you can see all the items I provided for free, If its a $50 door holding up my last payment I will get it for you). I then recieved my final payment and that was it. All of the sudden I ask for my second installment on the upper cabinets and he answered "Sorry [redacted] I had unexpected tax payments I will send out the payment" I said great thanks and now here we are with this complaint. Its not the money I want, its my name and my work that I stand by.

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:

Dear Sir /MadamIn respond to the contractor that did my roof in ugly neglect way:First he didn’t tell the truth. The city inspector didn’t inspect my roof, because he said they don’t claim on the roof and he suggested calling roofer contractor to check my roof and that’s what I did. The roofer found the drip edge of my roof installed with several sizes of metal strip, from one inch to two inch and it’s connected with many little pieces. He said it would cost $375.00 to correct this problem, I thought that’s what going to cost me to repair my roof, so I forwarded this cost of repairs to FBG Front Burner Group. But later on my roofer came back to inspect my rooftop and he found a lot of mess. Many nails exposed, the flashing not covered with shingles and needs to be sealed ext. it’s cost $910.10 +$25 material that’s total of $935.10 (I didn’t included the painting of drip edge for $600.00 minimum)Before I started to do the repairs I contacted the FBG and I spoke with Mr. [redacted], but he refused even to come and look on mess that he did.One roofer told me, that I’d needs to redo the roof, because it’s going to have my roof leaks soon! And perhaps it will cost more then I paid $5,800.00I attached some pictures to prove it!

Complaint: [redacted]
I am rejecting this response because:The issue wasn't the chimney cap and as I stated before, the first roofer didn't repairs evetything's that needed on my roof that's why I thought the Repairs will cost no more then $375.00 so I for varded this amount to FBG constructions. But the second roofer climb on the roof and he saw the bad and ugly job that FBG roofing company did.I did spoke with Mr. [redacted] the owner of the company before I started the repairs, I told him that the city inspector wouldn't climb on the roof he just look at the rooffronz outside and that's not enough. But Mr. [redacted] refused to come even to look at the mess that he created. Now to solve this problem I want FBG Construction Company to pay me back at least $935.00 to cover the repairs on my roof That's not included the painting of the drip edge on the roof that will cost between $600.00 to $1000,00. Perhaps soon after I'll need to do some more repairs or even to replace the whole roof!See attached 12 pictures of that messy job and you'll the judge to tell inc ifthat's right to do this kind of work!Thank you,[redacted]

Unfortunately this gentleman is not telling the truth. Our company completed his roof replacement and it was done correctly. After the work was completed, we meet him to receive payment for the completed job. At this point he stated that we did not replace his chimney cap and wanted it replaced. We explained to him that his chimney cap was not in our proposal, but we could replace it for additional monies. The gentleman stated that he did not care if it was in  the original proposal because his insurance wanted it replaced. We explained to him that we never saw what his insurance wanted replaced because he refused to show us. We explained to him that he requested a bid for a roof replacement and that is the proposal we gave him. The gentleman was very upset that we refused to replace his chimney cap for free, even though it was never on the proposal we provided him. At this point he paid us with a check and released any and all liens against this company, as per the contract that he signed. A couple of weeks later he contacted me and stated that he had a roofing company come to look at his roof and they stated it needed $350 worth of repairs. He told me that I needed to pay him $350 so that he could pay the other roofing company. He never contacted me wanting me to look at any issues that were found, only asking for money. This is unacceptable and we have no issues with any of our many repeat clients.
