Dear ***, We understand your concerns and we agree that this locksmith did not provide a customer experience that is up to our standardsIn no way do we condone smoking on the job, conducting personal business on site, taking excessive time for breaks, etcImmediately after our phone discussion, I took action regarding your concerns to prevent this kind of thing from happening ever again Keeping in mind the automotive locksmithing trade is a difficult and expansive field, it is not unusual for unexpected complications to arise, leading to a longer completion time and in some instances a job can't be completed without replacing expensive ECU's and computersThe immobilizer systems used in the automotive industry can be extremely complex and Audi/Volkswagen is without a doubt one of the more difficult systems to deal with (rolling codes, no OBDaccess, security upgrades forever changing) Unfortunately, the 1999-year Volkswagen models can be the most difficult, requiring advanced EEPROM techniques to gain the pin code to access the dealer programming functions on the vehicleYour experience as far as time required for completion is in no way the norm; though it is a rare happeningThe job in question took trips, hours of labor, and $in parts You now have a fully functioning key for the vehicle at a price that was already discounted far below what we would normally charge for this kind of jobTherefore, we cannot justify a full refund for the $We would be happy to offer a 20% discount on your next service & commitment to providing you VIP service, should you choose PAL for your future needs Best regards,Jeffrey *H***, Owner

Prior to contacting PAL we were quoted a price by a VW dealership for the same amount as PAL's final invoiced price without this hastle. We found that this company is not looking to foster long term business relationships that will hold up to it's advertised standards. Their response does not justify the actions that took place nor does it excuse them. Dear [redacted],
We understand your concerns and we agree that this locksmith did not provide a customer experience that is up to our standards. In no way do we condone smoking on the job, conducting personal business on site, taking excessive time for...

breaks, etc. Immediately after our phone discussion, I took action regarding your concerns to prevent this kind of thing from happening ever again.
Keeping in mind the automotive locksmithing trade is a difficult and expansive field, it is not unusual for unexpected complications to arise, leading to a longer completion time and in some instances a job can't be completed without replacing expensive ECU's and computers. The immobilizer systems used in the automotive industry can be extremely complex and Audi/Volkswagen is without a doubt one of the more difficult systems to deal with (rolling codes, no OBD2 access, security upgrades forever changing).
Unfortunately, the 1999-2002 year Volkswagen models can be the most difficult, requiring advanced EEPROM techniques to gain the pin code to access the dealer programming functions on the vehicle. Your experience as far as time required for completion is in no way the norm; though it is a rare happening. The job in question took 2 trips, 10 hours of labor, and $75 in parts.
You now have a fully functioning key for the vehicle at a price that was already discounted far below what we would normally charge for this kind of job. Therefore, we cannot justify a full refund for the $219.00. We would be happy to offer a 20% discount on your next service & commitment to providing you VIP service, should you choose PAL for your future needs.
Best regards,Jeffrey *. H[redacted], Owner
