Pop-Ins is more than willing to repair or replace broken items. Normally cleaning the interior of a refrigeration does not make it inoperable. I have owned the business 16 years and the cleaning person has been with Pop-ins over eight years and this has never happened before. I contacted 3 different...

appliance repair companies to what the problem might be and all said they never of a refrigerator being broken by cleaning. When I offered to have a professional inspect the refrigerator to see why it was running and who should be responsible, she implied I was "setting her up" and threatened to report Pop-Ins to Revdex.com.I am not going to make a refund in cash, if she will accept a check I will refund half of the cleaning bill.

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does (along with the check clearing without any problems or fees), will consider this complaint resolved.

Review: I asked them to clean my rental home for a move-in. There were no impediments to their work as it was completely empty except for a bookcase which was used as a shelving unit for the kitchen. The house is small, 1325 sq ft and all on 1 level equipped with a 4 year old working refrigerator and a very new dishwasher.

4 hours after they arrived they told me they were done. I didn’t have time to inspect their work but since they didn’t say they had broken anything, I had no reason to worry.

Here’s what I found upon my return later in the day - the handles and the mechanism for the kitchen windows were broken off; the floor under the fridge and the bookcase was filthy; the refrigerator no longer worked.

When I contacted the owner, I told him of this and he sent his assistant, ** to inspect what was wrong. ** fixed the kitchen window handles but was at a loss as to how to fix the fridge. He tried making some calls and reported that there is no way the “girls” (referring to the ladies who cleaned the place) could’ve broken the fridge. It was working earlier in the day, they cleaned, then it no longer worked. Hmmm – too coincidental that they must’ve done something to it and broke it. ** insisted they did not and asked that I speak to his owner, [redacted], who of course could not be reached at that time.

Fast forward to my conversation with [redacted] who claimed to have never had this kind of a problem in his many years in this business. His big concession was to have someone come out to inspect it, but if it was deemed that his girls couldn’t have caused the problem, then I would have to pay for the service call. Instead of being an ethical business man, he’s playing a game with me. I asked that he either gets the fridge fixed; get me another one which is comparable; or we’ll call it a day and I won’t pay the cleaning bill for his girls of $250.75, which, by the way was less than the cost of another fridge as the 4 yr old model was purchased for $429.

Nothing happened for a few weeks until I receive another call from [redacted] asking me for my payment and if I didn’t pay the bill he was going to sue me in small claims court. I relented and paid the bill for the privilege of having a broken fridge which I would have to replace – nice.Desired Settlement: I don't trust this business owner's money and am requesting a refund in cash. I am willing to accept half, but this business owner should pay something for my aggravation.
