Business is still working towards a resolution with the consumer

Per our quote [redacted] contracted our company to furnish and install carpet that he had selected prior to installation over 7/16 rebond padding. The areas included in the scope of work consisted of the entire upstairs of his home in addition for the steps to be reinstalled as they were the day that...

I initially quoted the work. [redacted] contacted me while our installers were on site and requested that while we have the old carpet pulled back if we could secure the subfloor. This is an issue that he should have had addressed by a general contractor but I agreed to have our installers put a few screws in the floor in an attempt to help him out. We feel that the complaint expressed by [redacted] is unwarranted but we do apologize the he is not 100% satisfied with the installation. However we provided the exact products and services noted in the original estimate below. “Estimate to furnish and install [redacted] over 7/16 rebond padding in the following areas: Hall Bed 1 Closet Hall Bed Office Bed 2 Bed 3 Steps Total Estimate: $2,346.80 Thank you for the opportunity to provide you with this quote. As always please do not hesitate to contact me with any additional questions. Best, [redacted]

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
[Provide details of why you are not satisfied with this resolution.]As [redacted] mention he was asked and said he would take care of the subfloor issue and never mentioned that I should get a general contractor. If that was the case it I would have not had to pay for removal of the carpet. It saddens me that I put up with [redacted] inability to provide the quote and a timely manner and I never received or signed a contract.  I sent in a written request with my payment in full and I have yet to here from the company or Jason. The sad reality is that I still have foreign objects underneath my carpet and the subfloor really squeaks. As a professional all of this should have been pointed out by the company and as for communication, you can tell [redacted] doesn't have clue because I didn't get [redacted] installed. Part of my 2354.00 entitled me to customer service and Pope carpeting did not provide that through there sales rep or company.
Regards,[redacted]

Review: Installation not to satisfaction. Floors squeaking and padding seems inferior. Contacted sales rep, nothing. Sent in written request nothing.Desired Settlement: 20 percent off bill and they secure the subfloor like they would in any installation.
