Popeye's Louisiana Kitchen Reviews (2)

Review: At 8:58pm today, Sunday 10/19/2014 I arrived at Popeye's because I was hungry. I walked in to Popeye's and aside from a couple of gentlemen eating at the table, there was NO other customers in Popeye's. I walk up to the register ready to place my order and being the dysfunctional establishment this is; there was obviously no one at the register. However, I could hear people in the back talking about their personal business. I really wanted to try the beer canned chicken so I waited patiently until someone finally approached the register.... SEVEN minutes later. I greeted the lady with a smile and she greeted me with eye rolling; she was obviously in a terrible mood. Her attitude was nasty and I felt extremely unwelcomed; mind you I was the one waiting SEVEN WHOLE MINUTES before she finally approached the register. She proceeded to take my order as two other customers came in behind me. I ordered the beer canned chicken combo and TWENTY FIVE MINUTES LATER I finally received my order. TWENTY FIVE WHOLE MINUTES!!! So not only did it take 7 minutes for someone to approach the register, it took TWENTY FIVE extra minutes for them to actually give me my order. IT WASN'T EVEN BUSY! Okay so I get my food and get in my car to head out; I take a bite into my beer canned chicken as I drive off and IT'S STALE. I'm already annoyed with the service but now I'm xxxxxx. I didn't even want to go back, and return my TRASH food to the TRASH establishment. The employees were TERRIBLE. I am aggravated typing this. I am obviously hungry. So much for "FAST FOOD" and customer service. Popeye's has disappointed me significantly.Desired Settlement: I want my full refund and something else for wasting my gas to get terrible service, acquire stale food, and wait the length of sitting down at an eat-in restaurant. This experience was completely ridiculous. The fact that I am writing a Revdex.com report emphasizes the magnitude of the foolery that took place tonight. I am thoroughly annoyed and STILL hungry.

Review: On Saturday March 22, 2014 my family and I decided to go to Popeyes for lunch. The restaurant was really busy so we decided to use the drive through; we had two separate orders. As we pulled around to get our food and pay, the guy working and the manager had both of our bags of food out the window before we paid, which was not a problem. The first order was paid for and my second order was mines. The worker said he was having trouble swiping my card, and I advise him that my strip was messed up to please type in the numbers; I also apologized for any inconvenience. During this time his manager was standing behind him, I could only assume he was training. I seen the worker swipe my card and then give my card to the manager; they both talked among each other. The worker opens the window and says your card is expired, I look at my card and it does not expire until 2015. I advised the worker of that information and handed the card back to him. This time the manager decided to take my card and I could tell he was getting very frustrated. He also looked in the back seat of my car, at my son and said dang you could smile he was not feeling well. I felt like he was being very disrespectful (the manager). We set for a few more minutes and the manager comes back to the window and yells you can go!! I asked for my receipt and he said I dont have a receipt for you, its paid for by me. He also continued to say you need to get your cards fixed and also mumbled some things under his breathe. He was very rude and arrogant, something I would not expect from a manager. I felt Popeyes represents a southern restaurant; which would display southern hospitality. Not only did he disrespect me; but he was very disrespectful to his staff.I will never spend a penny at that location again and Ive also told others. Manager: [redacted] (dont know his last name)Desired Settlement: I would like an apology.I was so disgusted I threw the food away and went somewhere else; which had no problems with my card.

Business

Response:

I spoke with [redacted] from the business and he stated that he is sorry for the way he spoke to the consumer. They were busy that day and with training the new employees he was under some stress and he is sorry for the way he spoke to the customer.

Consumer

Response:

[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's offer. If you wish, you may update it before sending it.]

I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me. I wanted the issue to be addressed with the manager and at least an apology, to make sure these type of things don't happend to someone else. Some people are afraid to speak up. I will wait for the business to perform this action and, if it does, will consider this complaint resolved. If the company does not perform as promised I can get back to you at: [redacted].

Regards,
