phone, and again as verified with [redacted], this company will need to verify annually that they are still a NON Profit.  Below are 4 ways we can accept the verification. 
County Assessor Exemption Letter
Ø  Organization Headquarters Letter
Ø  [redacted] Determination Letter (also known as the 501(c)(3) Exemption Ruling Letter or a tax letter)
Ø  All must certify the organization qualifies under 26 USC § 501(c)
In addition [redacted] informed us that the customer could also go to [redacted] website and print out a letter  confirming corporation status .   [redacted] also states if a CSR can this can be verified online with A[redacted].    
I have done just that and attached is his verification.  Please let him know the letter dated 1982 is not acceptable and the attached will need to be included with the transaction to obtain the exemption.

I have issued a check request to refund the client $300. because of the holiday weekend it wont go out until today or tomorrow

Review: [redacted] is a 501(3)c corporation. Due to this fact it is exempt from the vehicle license tax. Before a dealer can waive this fee it must establish that the customer actually qualifies. Based on [redacted]’s experience purchasing vehicles from other dealers plus direct inquiry of the [redacted] it was established that the [redacted] determination letter plus the current [redacted] issued tax exemption letter is sufficient to waive the fee. These two documents have been provided. The dealer and the [redacted] Association insist that we obtain a “current letter” from the [redacted]. Obtaining such a letter can literally take months. In addition to what is required by the state we have also provided the front page of the [redacted]’s current [redacted] filed information returned (noting [redacted] is a 501(3)c) and a purchase order for another vehicle from a different dealer where this tax was clearly waived.

[redacted] Response: Good afternoon. Thank you for your inquiry. Should be enough to waive VLT(vehicle license tax) but not sales tax. That is between you and dealership. Thank you for using our email service. Have a nice day.

Your Input: Our Agency is purchasing a new vehicle from an automobile dealer. We have presented the dealer our [redacted] tax determination letter (dated June 2, 1983) and our 2016 sales tax exemption letter. Should this documentation be sufficient to have the vehicle license tax waived? This is what we use when we annually license our vehicles at your offices and that is accepted as sufficient.Desired Settlement: North Scottsdale Porsche should immediately refund the vehicle tax fee charge of $979.44 plus refund “doc fee” of $489. This fee is to cover the cost of documenting the sale and licensing of the vehicle. It is collected because of the dealer “expertise.” Management of the buyer have spent hours attempting to educate North Scottsdale Porsche on this matter to no avail. The dealer rather than going directly to Motor Vehicles Division choose to seek counsel from the [redacted] Association who has exhibited no knowledge or understanding what so ever of the issue.

Review: We were to get a lower finance rate because of our top credit scores. We were told by the salesman to return to the dealer and they would revise the finance papers to the best rate. When we arrived, the credit manager "[redacted]"said that he cannot change finance papers as they had agreed. I drove 60 miles just to be refused.Desired Settlement: This dealer needs to cease fighting the dispute That I filed against them with my bank to recover the dollar difference for the lower financing rate that we were to receive.
