Porsche of the Main Line Reviews (1)

Review: On or about August 13, 2013, I took my 2010 Porsche Boxter to be serviced at Porsche of [redacted]. While waiting for the servicing to be completed, I browsed the company computer system for all certified pre-owned Porsche Carrera's sold in the United States. The search found a 2012 911 Carerra Cabriolet edition, which was advertised as certified pre-owned at the list price of $79,995. Additionally, the car was listed as available at Porsche of Main Line.

Still interested in the vehicle, on or about August 16, 2013, I contacted Porsche of Main Line and was told the car had been sold more than two (2) weeks prior. Subsequently, the salesman (who's name is unknown) attempted to sell me a $95,000 Porsche. I immediately rejected the offer and stated my concerns with the bait and switch technique employed by Porsche of Main Line. Neurotically, the sales employee scolded me over the phone exclaiming, "that's not what we do here" and the call was terminated shortly thereafter.

Disregarding the treatment I received through dealing with Porsche of Main Line, I was still interested in buying the vehicle. On or about August 19, 2013 Porsche of [redacted] found the 2012 911 Carerra for the sale price of $82, 395. Noticing the $2,500 increase in price (consequently the price to have the car made certified pre-owned), I asked for an explanation and what Porsche of [redacted] then told me was shocking. I learned that, although Porsche of Main Line advertised this vehicle as certified pre-owned, it never paid for the service and thus shifted the payment to the consumer.

On or about August 21, 2013, I test drove the Carerra, which had the same vehicle identification number as the Carerra Porsche of Main Line advertised as certified pre-owned. On or about August 23, 2013, Porsche of Main Line was STILL advertising the said vehicle as certified pre-owned, even after I was notified the said vehicle was not.

On or about August 23, 2013, I contacted Porsche Cars North America and a manager named [redacted] assisted me. I explained the situation set forth above and [redacted] opened up a case, numbered [redacted]. On or about August 26, 2013, [redacted] contacted me and stated Porsche Cars North America will stand by a disclaimer on its website. Interestingly, the said vehicle was removed from the website immediately after the telephone call ended.

On or about August 26, 2013, I purchased the said vehicle and paid the extra $2,500 for the certified pre-owned service.Desired Settlement: I would like the Revdex.com to refund me the $2,500 in consideration for the certified pre-owned service. Further, I would like the Revdex.com to reprimand Porsche of Main Line as the Revdex.com deems appropriate.
