I DO UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS NOT THE DEALERSHIP RESPONSIBILITY BUT THAT FCV IS RESPONSIBLEI HAVE BROUGHT MY VEHICLE IN MANY TIMES FOR ROUTINE OIL CHANGES BRAKE AND RECALLS AND INSPECTIONSI DO NOT UNDERSTAND WHY A NYS INSPECTION IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH SINCE IT CHECKS FOR SAFETY OF VEHICLE AND IS DONE EVERY YEARI DO NOT KNOW MUCH ABOUT VEHICLES THAT IS WHY I BOUGHT THE EXTENDED WAURANTEETHE TRUCK WAS COVERED FROM DAY ONE WHEN VEHICLE WAS BOUGHT BRAND NEW SO WHY SHOULD THERE BE AN ISSUE OF WHEN SINCE COVERAGE WOULD CONTINUE AND A FREE INSPECTION I WOULD THINK WOULD HAVE BEEN DONE WHILE NYS INSPECTION IS BEING PREFORMEDTHERE ARE RECALLS ON MY VEHICLE OVER PAST SEVERAL YEARS SO IF THEIR ARGUEMENT IS THAT I HAD ONE RESPONSIBILTY WHICH I THOUGHT WAS BEING DONE DURING NYS INSPECTION, THEN MANUFACTURER FCV HAD ONE RESPONSIBILTY TO MAKE VEHICLES SAFE AND THERE SHOULDN'T BE SAFETY RECALLS ON VEHICLESWHEN VEHICLE WAS BROUGHT IN THE TECHNICIAN EVEN STATED THAT HE SEES I KEEP UP WITH THE MAINTENENCE OF THE VEHICLE

I will attempt to respond to this complaint but, I am not sure of what the customer is Actually complaining aboutWe diagnosed the headlight and radio issues she had concerns aboutWe reviewed the needed repairs and provided an estimate of the needed repairsShe opted to not repair eitherThe
charges she incurred were for the time spent to diagnose those concernsWe did give her a credit of $as she requested for the tire rotation she felt was unnecessary due to the tire wear her vehicle already had incurredI would be happy to revisit this with the customer again to help resolve any issues customer feels warrants a refund, I just need some clarification on the exact issueIf I can be of any further help please don’t hesitate to contact meThank You*** * *** *** *** *** ###-###-####

The Lifetime Powertrain warranty is provided to the customer from Fiat Chrysler Vehicles. Unfortunately the dealer has no control over this. The Owner of the vehicle has one responsibility in reference to this warranty and that is to have a "free" powertrain inspection every 5 years from the...

vehicles original in-svc-date. The owner is made aware and signs documentation acknowledging his/her responsibility when the vehicle is purchased from his selling dealer and according to FCV is mailed a reminder (which customers come in all the time with) prior to the vehicles 5yr anniversary date.  In reference to the vehicle being here and our dealership not reminding him here are the facts. This particular vehicle was placed in service 03/**/2009 which would have meant its inspection was due 03/**/2014 with a window of 30 days before or 30 days after., The vehicle was brought to our dealership on 08/**/2011 and than not until 12/**/2014 which is clearly way outside the 30day before and after window. The Owner had one responsibility to keep his lifetime warranty in force and failed to complete that. The complaint should be removed from our record as the dealer has no control over the warranty given to a customer by FCV, never had the opportunity to perform the inspection and lastly we can not be held responsible when an owner can not meet his obligation in reference to having this "Free" inspection done.

The Charges are for Diagnostics which were pre authorized by the customer's husband. I will be happy to apply those charges towards any future repairs or service. As far as returning for oil changes, the customer has an oil change package which can be used at any Chrysler Corp dealer. Thank You.

  charging $157.46 and making my husband wait 4 hrs and then calling me at home (sick) are unexcuseable. the dealership still owes us for 1 oil change. the $157.46 charge should be credited to my credit card and we will no longer have any dealing with this dealership

Review: We were told by [redacted], finance personnel, that if we purchased extended warranties he would pay down our loan from 2.5% to 2.0% making the cost of the warranties only $1200. However upon closer inspection of the sales paperwork we were charged $4600. We contacted [redacted] to inquire why the charge was so different than what we were told and his reply was that he would cancel one of the warranties at $2900 but the paint and theft warranty could not be canceled. We called the warranty company and were told that the warranties we were sold were actually guarantees of a paint sealant product and a theft system that should have been applied to the car however, in the 30 minutes the paperwork was drafter there wasn't time for these products to have been applied. When we again inquired of this discrepancy with the dealership we were told that these products were applied to all the dealership vehicles when they came onto the lot whether the customer buys them or not. We don't believe these products were ever applied to our Jeep which would make these warri entries we were sold invalid should a claim ever be filed. We have been lied to and we believe have been sold fraudulent warranties.Desired Settlement: We would like the warranties fully refunded to the loan less the amount paid by the dealership for the loan pay down from 2.5%to 2.0%.

Review: Purchase a vehicle 6 years ago a dodge journey. Been to dealership many times for maintaining vehicle and repairs.had purchased a lifetime warranty and now after 6 years having problems with the power train. Never was notified of needing to have a free inspection done on vehicle to keep warranty valid. Who would remember that after that many years, and not being notified. Why would I pay lot of money and not have a free inspection done to me I feel it's a big scam that they know consumers would forget and when it's needed it would be too late. Their dealership maintains the vehicle and does oil changes nys inspection, as a consumer I would think they would do the inspection on their own just like if a recall is outstanding they take care of it too. I would understand if the vehicle was abused or not taken care of,but even when brought vehicle in the representative stated "oh I see you keep up with the maintaining the vehicle"Desired Settlement: To have my warranty reinstated and the charges for repairs that should be covered be taken care of under warranty.

Review: my husband took my car to the dealership with a headlight that wasn't working and the light on the computer was going dim. after 4hrs they called me at home to tell me about outragegous charges to fix the trouble's on my car .they wanted to replace a headlight that was already replaced. I told them to not repair anything. why didn't they talk to my husband who was in the waiting room.this is the 2nd complaint we have filed against this dealership.the 1st was after taking a deposit for the car they claimed they couldn't get the car,but after you guys talked to them they made a deal with the [redacted] dealership.also we were told we needed to have the tire's rotated.well we did that and I almost got into an accident because the tire's were bald after 36,000k mile's they agreed to give us a credit for the charge.Desired Settlement: we want a credit to my credit card of $157.46 and a refund for the last oil change that they owe us.we do not want to ever go to this dealership again!
