I went to Port Jervis Computer because I needed my laptop fixed right awayTri State Computer wouldnt even offer same day service, the soonest they said they could have it done was week and it would cost over $250! I spoke with *** at Port Jervis Computer and he advised me to bring the laptop in and he would do it right awayI brought it to him and min later my laptop was fixed for free!! He is such a honest, caring business ownerI HIGHLY recommend PORT JERVIS COMPUTER!!

Review: I scheduled a time to drop off an ipad mini for a repair after seeing an ad on local [redacted] page about 10% repairs if brought in by a certain date. the ipad was working fine other than the cracked screen. I dropped it off, he sent me an email right away with cost and we agreed to go forward with the repair being told he would order the screen and it would take 2-3 days. After two weeks I contacted him and at first didn't get a response. After a few days he responded and said he could meet that night to give me the ipad. We met, I paid him in full and he said the battery was dead. So I went home charged all night and nothing. I called him that night, he told me to drop it off and he told me to bring it in the next day. I met him at the shop, he said it was the battery and it would be a 2 hour job. It being 430pm on Halloween I couldn't come back that night for it. I then tried to contact him and was told he had to order a battery so it would be a few more days. I heard nothing for another week. Finally on November [redacted] I received a text that he would be at the shop on the [redacted] from 11am-7pm. I went there at 11:15 and 12:30pm and no one was there, and he didn't answer my calls or texts since then. He has my $109 and my ipad. I am filing a report with the local trooper barracks as well.Desired Settlement: I would like my money back and my ipad back.

I went to Port Jervis Computer because I needed my laptop fixed right away. Tri State Computer wouldnt even offer same day service, the soonest they said they could have it done was 1 week and it would cost over $250! I spoke with [redacted] at Port Jervis Computer and he advised me to bring the laptop in and he would do it right away. I brought it to him and 30 min later my laptop was fixed for free!! He is such a honest, caring business owner. I HIGHLY recommend PORT JERVIS COMPUTER!!

Review: I was having computer troubles with my new Mac & brought it to Ted S[redacted] for repair. At the time he was in [redacted], but has since moved to Florida, New York. I specifically asked him to remove the virus and to download, "...the best antivirus available for a Mac." When I picked the computer up, I asked the owner to show me how to open the program and show me how to run scans, cleanups, etc.. He told me not to worry about opening it because it functions by itself [redacted]. A couple weeks later, I was having issues with Adobe on Firefox. I brought it back to Ted, and he said he would 'play around with it.' When I picked the Mac up, he told me that he reinstalled Firefox but there were still some issues with Adobe. That night, I get an invoice for $70. Rather than question the charges, I went ahead and paid the guy despite continuing problems with Adobe. Fast forward five months, one day I decided to open my antivirus program. What I came to realize is that the product key/activation code was never entered, therefore, for five months, I unknowingly had no virus protection. When I emailed him, his girlfriend responded and basically said it was 'a mistake on Ted's part.' Anyway, after a dozen emails, text messages and phone calls (which were professional), I was given excuse after excuse, and then he stopped responding. I will be taking him to small claims court, and I don't want anyone else to get ripped off by this guy. If you want good and honest computer services, go to [redacted]. Yeah, you'll pay more, but you know what you're getting. Unfortunately, I learned the hard way, but he will not get away with it!Desired Settlement: I will be taking the owner to small claims court if he does not give me the product key for Mackeeper and a refund for nine months of being under false computer security. Additionally, I plan on contacting Orange County New York Department of Consumer Affairs and writing online reviews about my experience so nobody will have to go through what I went through.
