We bill the caterers for their usage in our facility. It is not our responsibility how the caterer recoups that charge from us. If you didn't read your contract that you signed that is on you. Also, the caterer gave you a discount that covered all but $33 of the 10%. Please consult your contracts and invoices from the hall and the caterer. The charge to the caterer covers THEIR use of our kitchen area, our coolers that they use, the ice they use from our machine, the commercial dish washer they use to clean your plates and silverware, and the soap and disinfectant as well, also to remove the trash that is generated from an event. They rented a room that seated 435 people, they were billed a total of $1,094.34. Our volunteers set up the tables and chairs, we clean the room, we paid 2 bartenders to serve the beverages, and air conditioning so the guest were comfortable, besides being allowed to come in the day before and decorating, at no extra charge.
