Dear Revdex.com Northwest,I am aware of the complaint from [redacted].  I was contacted via email on October 27, 2016 in regards to a missing gift card.  Ms. [redacted]'s email to Portage Bay Cafe stated the gift card was lost not cracked.  If she still had the card we could easily reissue...

a replacement card.Our gift cards are treated as cash, once they are issued we do not track the card by number.  Our point of sale system has the balance captured with the card number at the point of sale, but we do not retain the information.  Thereby, if we had the number or the card we could tell if the card had been used, or had a balance available. Please let me know if you need additional information. All the best,Linda C[redacted]Office Manager

I am rejecting this response because: the business has not offered or proposed any type of feasible solution. Our gift card cracked in half and the portion with the barcode was lost. We are not able to provide the barcode or any identify number from the gift card itself. However, as previously mentioned, all details of the purchase transaction have been provided and verified. I am asking that the business work with us to come to some type of resolution, rather than just telling us that there's nothing they can do. We don't feel that it is acceptable or ethical to retain the $50 gift card revenue without providing any goods or services in return.
