Porter Drywall, Inc.

I am rejecting this response because:Bob never returned my call nor left a VM even after Eric stated he would.  Why doesn't Bob come inspect the work himself??Forget the ceilings, the finish on the walls is a miserable as the ceilings. I paid them because according to Eric, Bob threaten to place a lien on my property if I didn't pay.    I thought I was safe dealing with a large reputable company that understood customer service and standing behind their work.  I didn't want any problems seeing as I had a bank involved on a construction loan.  I was wrong.   As I started before, Porter can come back and fix their work along with paying to re-paint the entire home or they can refund me $2,000 to cover the extra work already done.

recommended a treebark texture instead. [redacted] didn't want topay extra for it. He also didn't want a Level 5 Finish to help hide any imperfections. SoEric recommended that it was crucial for the painter to use a good primer and a good paintto seal up everything. Eric also said to make sure the ceilings were sanded between paintcoats.After the first coat, Bill L[redacted] (an experienced painter who is also a supervisor forPorter Drywall) and Eric went to look at the ceilings. The new paint product that hepurchased for this project was a low grade apartment type paint which the painteradmitted to. Also, the ceilings were never primed or sanded between coats.[redacted] never threatened to hold money back We have some customers hold backmoney until the punchout is complete. [redacted] paid in full so we thought he was satisfied withthe project. We sent over our service people back a second time and they showed [redacted] thatthe joints were flat but because of a poor grade paint everything showed through (screws,joints, etc). To whom it may concern:Suffice to say that we disagree with Mr. [redacted]'s recollection of what hastranspired. Mr. [redacted] chose to proceed with a smooth finish on his ceiling after beingcautioned that the imperfections would be more apparent. He rejected our additionalrecommendation that he pay for a Level 5 finish to hide imperfections. Finally, he did notaccept our recommendations regarding the paint and primer product and instead wentwith low-quality products that would not achieve the result he desired. Mr. [redacted] is nowupset about the finish, even though it reflects the expected consequences of his decisions.Mr. [redacted] has demanded a full refund or alternatively that Porter Drywall, Inc"fix" the work and pay for his home to be repainted. Porter Drywall, Inc stands by it'swork and would be glad to perform any appropriate warranty or punch list work at Mr.[redacted]'s home. However, we will not pay for his home to be repainted. By applying thepaint to the ceiling in the first place, Mr. [redacted] and/or his painter "accepted" the drywallfinish as it currently existed. If either of them had concerns about that finish at that time,they should have called Porter Drywall, Inc back to perform punch list work at that time.That work could have easily been accomplished before paint was applied.Sincerely, Robert E PorterVP of Porter Drywall, Inc
