Porter Nissan/Infiniti Reviews (4)

Received a letter stating our Infiniti will never be worth more. Implied they would give us a great price on our trade. Vehicle meticulously maintained and has low miles. Went in and they offered us $4500.00 LESS for no reason. We also picked out another vehicle, a 2018 with over 19,000 miles; way over normal but manager, Jeremy Porter, said they wouldn't give any type of discount for high miles. Fine. Give us the monthly payment for the overpriced car and take ours for $4500.00 less than its worth. Came back with a figure about $40.00 more than our current payment. Jeremy Porter, manager, became indignant when I questioned the payment. He wouldn't say interest rate or how many months this was for. BTW, excellent credit. Words said and he told us to leave. Very dishonest business practices here.

Review: I paid cash for extended warranty because I was told it couldn't be financed in the loan. I decided to cancel the warranty and requested the refund back for the warranty and was told that I would receive my money within 90 days of signing the cancellation form. I later found that they sent my $ 1999.00 dollars to the finance company instead of me. I requested the refund from the finance company and the bank Ally told me that Porter infinity included the extended warranty into the contract to be financed. I called Porter Infinity about this and [redacted] of infinity assured me this was a error and would be corrected. I waited patiently and still haven't got no closer to getting my refund and this process started October 1, 2014. [redacted] error on how he submitted the contract to the bank.Desired Settlement: I would like to receivce my money back for my warranty.

Response:

We have received your letter regarding [redacted]’s complaint and would like to apologize for what was simply a misunderstanding. [redacted] purchased a warranty and it was included in the bank financing and not paid for in cash. He did however put $2,000 dollars down on his loan to offset the price of the warranty and the effect it would have on his monthly payment. All bank/finance contracts clearly state that any cancelled policy must have the refunded amount applied to the loan balance. This is not a Porter Auto Group rule, but rather a bank compliance situation. I believe the misunderstanding occurred when [redacted] cancelled the warranty he was told he would get a refund by [redacted]…[redacted] believed it was to come to him when it could only of course be applied to the loan balance. In essence he did get the full credit of the refund but not in the form of cash.

We sincerely apologize for any confusion and aggravation this may have caused [redacted]. Feel free to call me at [redacted] if you need to discuss further.

Review: Porter advertised a 2015 Certified Used Nissan Rogue Select AWD S with 2,839 miles online for $17,987. I went in to buy it and after keeping me waiting around, the manager, [redacted], said they made a mistake pricing it and it was $5000 more. I asked if they planned to honor the listed price and he said no. This is illegal, a waste of time, and a horrible representation of your company.Desired Settlement: Honor the advertised price.

[redacted] was informed that was amisprint and after attaining manager approval we honored the price. [redacted]took delivery of his new Rogue from Porter Nissan on June 30th. Review: I brought my car to Nissan Porter for an illuminated service engine light on 12/07/2013. I was informed that the initial cost/minimum cost included the price of a diagnostic to identify what service was needed. Results from the diagnostic resulted in me requesting services that totaled $340.73, to complete the required engine services needed. That day I paid for services and my service engine light was off. On 12/10/2013 I contacted Nissan Porter because my service engine light illuminated again, and scheduled another appointment for service for 12/16/2013. At this service visit I was informed that the diagnostic machine stated another issue, and that the new estimated charge was $701.36. At this time I requested a refund on the previous service due to the fact that I was quoted and I paid for a service solution that was not completed. Nissan Ported denied me my refund.Desired Settlement: Refund for paid services.

Customer [redacted]r came to us for the very first time on December 8, 2013 with 76,692 miles on his 2009 Nissan Maxima, v.i.n. [redacted] , with a concern that the Service Engine Soon (SES) light was on sol id. The customer stated that he had no issues with the way the car was running, but the light had been on solid for the past month and he wanted us to look into it. We charged him the standard $89.95 diagnostic fee that we would charge any customer that came in with this type of concern. Our technician found two codes stored in the vehicles main computer. The codes we P0014- exhaust valve control magnetic rder Bank 1 and code P0024 - exhaust valve control magnetic rder Bank 2. These two codes will normally come up when the engine is low on oil. The technician then checked the oil level on the vehicle and found it to be 2.25 quarts low. The oil that was left in the vehicle's engine was very thick and very dirty. There were no signs of any oil leaks at that time. The engine in [redacted]'s 2009 Nissan Maxima takes 4.9 quarts of oil when full.

We recommended regular maintenance for the engine; to have the oil changed and set to the proper level. [redacted] approved this work at $340.73. We also gave him a discount, which deducted

$31.28 from his original price. Driving the vehicle too long when low on oil can and does damage these Exhaust Valve Control Magnetic rders. We do not know how long the engine was driven with a low oil level. We do know the oil was very thick (oil should be thin and have a yellowish color when you look at it). The oil was black as it came out of the engine and the engine was 2.25 quarts low on oil. This information was documented on the customer's repair order when he picked up and paid for the vehicle's maintenance. Running this engine low on oil could have damaged one or both of the exhaust valve control magnetic rder s.

The customer came back in on December 16, 2013 with 76,806 miles on his vehicle stating the Service Engine Soon light had come back on. We did not charge him to look at this concern again. Both codes came back up when the technician scanned the system. We properly recommended the replacement of both exhaust valve control magnetic rders for both Bank 1 and Bank 2. The cost for this repair,

parts and labor, total $710.00
