This will be our final correspondence to the deck project that was done for *** ***.*** *** asked us to build him a free standing deck beside his houseThe reason it would be free standing was to avoid getting permits and his concern about electric wiring running through that side of house under the sidingWe drew a diagram for him and gave him an estimate, he approved both and gave his down payment of 3500.00.Project started 8/29/16, also let us clarify total material costs came to Have all receiptsOur hours on the deck project were We are paid per hour so that would equal up to for our laborThe difference between materials and labor and down payment is that is still owing to our business, however because the steps that were in the original estimate did not get done in this time frame we told *** *** we would only charge more and would schedule to come back and take care of the steps, he said OK wrote the check for (which I have) and as far as we knew that was thatThe check was given to us on Sat9/10/From that point till Mon9/12/the check was stopped payment.*** *** and myself (Ashley P***) had various conversations over the telephone, last one where had stated that there were any structural issues with the deck we would be happy to correct them after inspection (that he decided to get done) the same one he wanted to avoid from the beginning. He stated that would be fine and he appreciated thatOur plan was to wait for inspection and then go from thereWe were NEVER notified when the inspection was as he had stated before and he also stated that he didn't want us to trespass on his property so how could that have happened ???Also I would like to point out during one of our conversations on the phone he made a comment about this situation he has created l quote word for word "I've done this before and I am good at it."Unfortunately you can never please everyone all the time but we have many pleased customers and this situation we will learn from and move on.Thank youAshley POwner
