A service call is when we send one of our technicians to the customers location instead of the customer bringing their RV to our repair shop As we are pulling a technician away from our shop and there is driving time we have a minimum repair fee of hour and $to drive up to miles
round trip Our drive time fee of $is the lowest of any RV mobile repair service in the area This is a minimum to cover our fuel, the employees time and vehicle maintancence and still be able to make a profit to sustain the business.Mr*** made an appointment to do an LP check, check the water pressure and check the refrigerator for operation The minimum fee was explained to him when he made the appointment We are sorry that Mr*** did not know that he had to have LP in order to do an LP check, but in our experience that was common sense for an RV owner When our technician arrived and discovered that Mr*** did not have any propane, we offered to wait while you went to have his propane tank filled We also offered to do other repairs during the minimum hour if he did not want to go get his LP filled We checked the water pressure for Mr*** during the time we were there We also explained that the refrigerator could not be checked because it required propane to operate From the time our technician left to the time he returned he was gone for over one hour.It is our opinion that our minimum charge for a service call fee was clearly explained to Mr*** and that we did our best to offer Mr*** a chance to get maximum value for minfee by offering to wait for him to get propane or to request different repairs or adjustments while we were there We do not take responsibility for Mr***'s lack of knowledge, however, as we pride ourselves on customer service we would like to offer Mr*** a refund
