I have a Navien NCB-240 combi-boiler that was installed around May of 2014. It was installed by, *** who was hired by P and Son. Come to find out, *** is not a certified installer of Navien boilers. Since installation I have accrued about $6000 in repairs. The main issue being it would not produce heat or hot water. Error code E012 would pop up and unit would shut down. Navien would not honor warranty claiming all repairs were not catastrophic. I started having this error code December of 2016 and it continued up until January of 2019, at which time I bought a new unit. Every time I had this issue I contacted P and Son and they would not do anything about it. After many calls, text and emails I finally got a response. They gave me another plumber to call who was also not a certified Navien installer. So I went online to find a certified installer and called them myself to take care of issue. P and Son told me they would make good on repairs and never have. The day I replaced the until I again asked they to show and they never did.

I received email from P and Son Builders on 2/*/19. It was from the daughter of the contractor stating she was taking over trying to resolve my concerns. She asked me for all the details and information about the issue, which just shows me again that her Father, Greg, owner of P and Son Builders, does not care and ignored all my communications and even discarded all the information that I had provided him. I supplied all the information to her again, as I too would like this resolved asap. She thanked me for the information and said she would follow up the next afternoon. I did hear back, but not until 8pm the next day. Again, she just communicated to me that she was still working on it and would get back to me the next day. Never heard back next day. She emailed me on 2/*/19, again stating she was working on it.
This is what they do. Keep putting it off until I give up. I am replying back to you about this because my fear is they will continue to reach out to me stating they are working on it and nothing will ever get done. I also see that If I did not respond in 6 days that the case would be closed. I just want to make sure case stays open until proper resolution. Proper resolution to me would be 100% reimbursement of repairs and new boiler.

To Whom This May Concern,

We have just had a discussion with a Technical Lead at Navien named *** he is authorizing compensation for the unit to ***, and he will be contacting the installer, T. Webber to work out the details of that compensation. I have emailed the client about this, and have included ***s contact information should the client have any questions.

I have called the Technical Lead, Shawn M to see what amount would be reimbursed to me and all he could tell me was the cost of the unit would be reimbursed only. He could not give me a dollar amount. I called T.Webber to see if they could give me a dollar amount and they said they could not until they got the reimbursement back from Navien. So, I have no idea of the amount coming back to me. My research tells me that the retail value of this boiler ranges from $1800 - $2400. I understand that the warranty from Navien only covers the cost of the unit and not the labor to install it. I feel the contractor, P and Son Builders should be responsible for the labor to install as well as the repair bills that I have accumulated over the last 3 years. The repairs bills are approximately $5000 and the cost to install the new unit was $5100. That $5100 does include the cost of the unit and labor. The bill did not break it down for me to know what was what. I have already reached out to P and Son Builders once again and told them the same. I stated that I was appreciative to the fact that they got Navien to honor the warranty and replace the unit but what was P and Son Builders going to do about the repairs bills that I accumulated? They have not responded to my last email, which was sent on 2/*/19.
