Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The owner of the business was not truthfulI recorded the conversation in which [redacted] cancelled the whole deal, not meI have said recordingAll I wanted was the refund for the mattress set and the order for the headboard to proceedWhile it is true we had difficulty getting the box spring of our current mattress set up the stairs, getting the mattress up was not a problem since it was able to be somewhat compressed and bent- doing so with the new set would have most likely broken one or more of the coils thereby ruining itIn conjunction with the complaint to the Revdex.com I have also filed a formal complaint with the Attorney General's office and the Federal Trade Commission [redacted] ***

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: The chair had not been sat it from the time that it was picked up to the time that I tried to return itIt happened to be jumped in by a dog That belonged to a visitor brieflyThe broken chair could not have been resold as it had a defective FrAME Hair on the cushion does not matterAnd the pound dog did not break itJust because it was packaged does not mean that it can't have a defectI've heard many comments from people in Portland about this owner's shady practicesIt is a shame that buying local is not a good option in the case of this merchantI had plans to purchase additional items from this place but that sure won't happenSeems like keeping the customer happy is not in this nasty man's plan Regards, [redacted]

Portland Furniture Elm St Portland ,Texas April 4,To whom it may concern, In regard to [redacted] our delivery men did take the wrong headboard .Right model wrong series ,which was a special order from the factory and not received by us yet.this was the only factual part of Mrs***s complaint Inregard to the mattress set it eas our delivery people that mentioned the mattress ,a delicate pocket coil deluxe ,plush mattress,would not go up the confined stairway with out possibly damaging it.Mr [redacted] told them he new it was an impossible task because they had to tear out dry wall to get the old mattress up stairs,which they didnt tell us before the deliveryMrs [redacted] came to the store ans said it was our fault we couldn't get the bed up stairs then finally admitted they new it was more then a difficult taskMrs [redacted] then said to cancel the the sale as per the attached cancelation.She cashed the check and we have not heard from until this complaint Portland Furniture LL.C

I am rejecting this response because:
 
The chair had not been sat it from the time that it was picked up to the time that I tried to return it. It happened to be jumped in by a dog That belonged to a visitor briefly. The broken chair could not have been resold as it had a defective FrAME.  Hair on the cushion does not matter. And the 15 pound dog did not break it. Just because it was packaged does not mean that it can't have a defect. I've heard many comments from people in Portland about this owner's shady practices. It is a shame that buying local is not a good option in the case of this merchant. I had plans to purchase additional items from this place but that sure won't happen. Seems like keeping the customer happy is not in this nasty man's plan.

All I wanted was the refund for the mattress set and the order for the headboard to proceed. Ms [redacted] pick up her chair which arrived that day on the factory truck so very little handling was done with that chair. It was tight wrapper in white plastic and any damage would have been visually noticed or felt when it was loaded in her vehicle. 
Even then we considered...

giving her another chair but when we went to look at the chair she had it was covered with dog or cat hair there fore we will not take the chair back.
