However, Portland Singles has a firm ''no refund policy'' (See paragraph 4aof the contract, which states: ''EXCEPT WHAT IS OTHERWISE PROVIDED HEREIN, THERE IS NO
RIGHT TO RESCIND THIS AGREEMENT. Portland Singles does not grant refunds or accept cancellations of any kind, unless otherwise stated in this agreement.'').
Once a person enrolls in our membership and pays for our service the sale is final. No right exists for that person to obtain a refund any time thereafter simply because that person changed their mind.
Ms*** became a member of Portland Singles on January 15, 2015, purchasing nine (9) introductionsTo date, Ms*** has personally received three (3) introductions. Since that time, Ms*** has disputed her membership and refused further service
When Ms*** requested a refund from Portland Singles, management did send her a letter stating that there were no refunds and explained the reasons why. At that time, as the letter stated, Ms*** was put on “hold” until she notified the company that she would like to resume service. Ms*** did not do so. The company did reach out to her and attempt further service, but again she refused
As stated in paragraph 3bof the contract (which Ms*** initialed), ''An introduction is made when Portland Singles provides you with a name and a phone number of another member.'' Additionally, paragraph 3b(''PREFERENCES'') of the contract states, ''Preferences are used as a guideline for Membership services when seeking potential introductions. As introductions are based on an AS-AVAILABLE basis, introductions will be made that are as nearly compatible to a member's preferences at any given time.'' Further, the same clause states: ''Portland Singles, its agents and assigns, do not represent the characteristics, availability, quantity or demographic maof its membership base at any time. You, the Member, acknowledge that the membership base changes on a daily basis due to changes in membership status, including, but not limited to: new enrollments, expired membership, members becoming involved in relationships, members traveling, and members temporarily suspending their memberships.''
Further, an Addendum to the contract, signed by Ms*** states the following: ''...I understand that my preferences are 'preferences' and not 'requirements'. If at any time Portland Singles is unable to select an introduction who fulfills all of my preferences, Portland Singles will select an introduction who is compatible with my preferences but who may not meet all of the preferences I indicated in my profile.''
Having said that, Portland Singles is generous about replacing the introductions that do not result in meetings or result in very disappointing meetings. Ms*** is no exception to this generosityBecause Portland Singles aims to please, Portland Singles will work hard to find the right introductions for Ms***
Based upon an analysis of Ms***'s membership file thusfar, it appears that Portland Singles is providing service to Ms*** precisely in the manner she contracted forPortland Singles is performing according to the stated contract terms and services are most definitely being rendered as agreed. However, Ms*** must accept service
At Portland Singles we understand that when people become members of such a personal service they may second-guess their decision. Customer satisfaction is important to Portland Singles, and our staff looks forward to continuing to work with Ms*** in the process of finding that right match
Portland Singles has kept its side of the agreement and has remained within the parameters of the contractMs*** is not entitled to a refund

To Whom It May Concern:
This is in response to the dispute we received regarding our member, *** ***
First and foremost, we take every member complaint very seriously and it concerns us Ms*** is so unhappy
However, Portland Singles has a firm “no refund policy” (See paragraph 4aof the
contract, which states: “EXCEPT WHAT IS OTHERWISE PROVIDED HEREIN, THERE IS NO RIGHT TO RESCIND THIS AGREEMENT. Portland Singles does not grant refunds or accept cancellations of any kind, unless otherwise stated in this agreement.”).
Once a person enrolls in our membership and pays for our service the sale is final. No right exists for that person to obtain a refund any time thereafter simply because that person changed their mind.
Please note: Portland Singles does not allow for cancellations or refunds, as stated above and in the Membership Agreement. The express contract language, which Ms*** signed and initialed indicating he read, understood, and accepted the terms, states, “Portland Singles does not grant refunds or accept cancellations of any kind….”; therefore, she is well aware of the terms of the contract. Furthermore, Ms*** signed the sales receipt, authorizing the transaction of $4,for her Portland Singles membership (see attached)
The Federal Trade Commission provides a cooling off period for purchases above the amount of $25, which are cancelled within three days of the purchase. However, this federal law only applies if the item is purchased in the buyer’s own home or at a location that is not the seller’s permanent place of business. Clearly such a law is inapplicable in this case because as said previously the service was purchased in the permanent place of business of Portland Singles.
Ms*** claims she is due a credit; yet, Portland Singles is providing service according to the contract terms and no credit is due. On or about October 1, 2015, Ms*** became a member of Portland Singles, purchasing introductionsMs*** is to receive approximately one to two introductions per eight-week period (see contract, paragraph 3bwhich Ms*** initialed. Ms***’s first introduction was to be provided within weeks of enrolling (paragraph 3b)
On or about October 15, 2015, Portland Singles provided Ms*** with her first introduction to “Chris”
Ms*** then refused all further service and requested a refund
Despite Portland Singles efforts to provide Ms*** with the service she contracted for, Ms*** has refused all service from Portland Singles despite there being no right to cancel and receive a refund. As such, Portland Singles has provided services in accordance with the Agreement governing the transaction Portland Singles remains ready, willing, and able to provide the service Ms*** contracted for, but he must accept the service being offered
Portland Singles has introductions ready for Ms***. As stated in paragraph 3bof the contract (which Ms*** initialed), “An introduction is made when Portland Singles provides you with a name and a phone number of another member.” Additionally, paragraph 3b(“PREFERENCES”) of the contract states, “Preferences are used as a guideline for Membership services when seeking potential introductions. As introductions are based on an AS-AVAILABLE basis, introductions will be made that are as nearly compatible to a member’s preferences at any given time.” Further, the same clause states: “Portland Singles, its agents and assigns, do not represent the characteristics, availability, quantity or demographic maof its membership base at any time. You, the Member, acknowledge that the membership base changes on a daily basis due to changes in membership status, including, but not limited to: new enrollments, expired membership, members becoming involved in relationships, members traveling, and members temporarily suspending their memberships.”

Our terms and conditions are stated clearly in the contract (which Ms*** signed and initialed). A refund under these circumstances would be very unjust. We are more than ready, willing, and able to provide service to Ms*** and look forward to working with her

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because: this company used fraudulent business practices to "sell" me.  The salesperson purposely told me untruths about how many men were in their database that were matches to me.  They outlined so much information that was Not TRUE.  I requested to cancel this contract almost immediately after the one and only match they provided me.  Not only was this person "NOT a match" in anyway, but this match told me he is constantly asked to go on dates even though there is no match.  He was the only match I had when I joined October 1.  I immediately contacted them that not only was this person NOT a match.  But this person continued to tell me that I was his victim of circumstance since he is asked to constantly help them with dates.  Never heard from them again.  I don't believe $4000.00 is worth what they described to me. 
What they described to me was they had a database full of men that are a suited match to me.  They described this will be fun helping find your mate in life.  They described these men are all career/professional business men.  Hence I agreed to purchase their service and sign their contract.
What they didn't tell me.  They have only one person that they will ASK to take me out on one date.  They have no one in their database suited to date me.  They do not go and FIND a match for me.  That it may take a year or so to find me one match.  That all their female customers in Oregon on the most part are very UNHAPPY and tried to get their money back due to false information at signing.  (see YELP for critiques)
This company gives you the impression they are similar to what is seen on tv for match making services.  They are not.  They are a bait and switch, completely fraudulent company. 
Bottom line, fraudulent sales practices got me to sign the contract.  This contract should therefore be null and void.

Revdex.com IS SPECIFICALLY REQUESTING THAT THE BUSINESS ADDRESS THE ISSUE THAT THE CONSUMER HAS NOT RECEIVED CONTACT AFTER THE THIRD MATCH.  PERHAPS THE BUSINESS CAN PROVIDE THE ADDITIONAL INTRODUCTIONS WHICH PROVIDES THE CONSUMER WITH A NAME AND PHONE NUMBER OF ANOTHER MEMBER.

Portland Singles stands by its initial response, but understands there may be a misunderstanding somewhere.  As such, Portland Singles will reach out to Ms. [redacted] in an attempt to remedy this situation and move forward.  We are hopeful Ms. [redacted]'s opinion of us can be changed.
