I am beyond upset with the staff at Portofino ApartmentI have only lived here for days and I regret every minute of it [redacted] has treated me horriblyHer attitude and her belittling ways makes me feel like she believes she is better than meAll of this started the day I moved inAfter touring my new apartment, I gave [redacted] a list of complaintsShe acted like the complaints were ridiculousShe tried to brush me offWhen I kept trying to explain my complaints, her responses were belittlingShe took my notes and threw them her in deskUnbeknown to me, she never processed my maintenance requestSo I went days without hot water in my apartmentAs soon as I submitted the maintenance request online, [redacted] fixed it within hoursKnowing I went days with cold showers, [redacted] seemed to make excuses for why there was an oversightThis was not the only oversight in my apartmentIt is very apparent my apartment never was cleaned or had a final walk throughI went days without window screens, there is dust everywhere, the windows are dirty, and my windows got stuck constantlyThe bathroom was grossI had to do way more than a quick sweep of a place to move in This was not my only problem with ***I moved in without having a lease signed or paying rentI had to constantly contact them sign a leaseI did not end up signing until the day I moved inI had not paid rent that day because they never askedOnce, I signed my lease I asked them if I could pay rent onlineThey said it was on my account ledger, it was notI called them two more times that day and talked to [redacted] the next day about itFinally on May 2nd, [redacted] adjusted the account ledgerHowever, she did it around pmRent is due on May 3rd I must have typed the numbers of my account wrong when I was typing so fast to process my rent because the account was not locatedToday, I received my email about the problem I paid the rentFour hours later, [redacted] calls and leave a message demanding me to pay the late feesWhen I called [redacted] to talk about it, she basically brushed me off AGAINShe repeated to me how I had insufficient funds in my account (though this was not the case, my account was not located)Overtime I asked a question, she continued to say "you had insufficient funds, you could not pay your rent." Then she tried to make it seem like it was my fault my rent was not paid the day I moved in(Though, I called and spoke to the staff three times on my move in date asking to pay) In the conversation, [redacted] started to harass me about my insufficient fundsShe kept repeating herself and would not answer my questions [redacted] proved to me I was unimportant when the replies she gave to the questions she decided to answer were incorrect [redacted] was unaware of when I moved in, she was unaware that my pro-rated amount was not waived, and she was unaware she never fixed my account ledger until May 2ndTo make matters worse when I asked for corporate number, she refused to give it to meShe said I could call and talk to *** If Portofino is a reflection of its staff, I would not recommend this place to anyone

We were way overcharged for little nit picky things when my husband and I moved outWorst apartment ever!! Stay away!!!

We lived her for a year and it was okay. The grounds are beautiful and always kept nice and the noise was minimal. However they are way too expensive for the size...the apartments are very small. I had issues with my air conditioner in the summer time that ran my [redacted] bill up over $150 more than normal. When I told the office about my air conditioner they never fixed it...they sent a maitenence guy out who said nothing was wrong. When it was 100 degrees my apartment would only cool to 80 degrees....and the office called to tell me that a "functioning air conditioner is only supposed to cool the inside 20 degrees lower than what it is outside." Which I know is not correct because none of the other apartments I've lived in have had that problem and have cooled just fine. So for 4 months I paid way too much in electricity because of a malfunctioning air conditioner.

We had one pet that lived with us that shedded. We did not have time to clean the carpet before we left, however the carpet was in no way damaged. All it needed was a cleaning and they are now trying to charge us for a $1000 full carpet replacement which is a complete scam and total laziness. Not to mention they tried to bill us for an extra months rent after we moved out and didn't even have it on file that we both moved out.

As beautiful as this property is, I feel that we've been cheated out of tons of money due to the air conditioner not working properly in the summer and now being charged for an unnecessary carpet replacement.

There are many other beautiful places to live that do not have these problems.
