I am rejecting this response because: I am rejecting this response because: As I have stated, I do not TRUST this shopThey have a very bad reputation with a lot of the locals Previously I stopped coming to this shop as of April of I did so because of the many issues that exist today On top of that, there is now animosity between both parties that amplifies this mistrust As I also stated, the only reason I brought my car to this shop is because the presented themselves as capable of repairing my window I have offered, and still do, to opthe door panel to expose the fail window regulator for their inspection Although that isn't really necessary as you can see in the attached photos, the regulator has failed This is very cut and dry, it's not rocket science. So now I am willing to take a loss and just request the $I was charged for the parts Which was partially misappropriated for parts that weren't purchased nor installed In the name of closure I am willing to eat their original labor charge and go my separate way.The Yelp review I have posted will remain to help warn others from taking their car to this shop.I am willing to end this once I have been reimbursed I look forward to an amicable resolve

At this juncture there really isn't much more that can be done if we don't have access to the vehicle , we welcome the opportunity to locate and correct this problem, but the vehicle would have to be made available to us for a min of 1/2 a day, customers just aren't allowed in the work area...a case in point: suppose someone buys a new car, then as often happens something on this car fails, then the customer would return the car to a dealership for repairs, does the car go lemon law after zero attempts at correcting the problem? of course not..they are givin the chance to fix it...

customer was informed that if any corrective remedies where to be made we would have to inspect the vehicle to see what failed, if it was part failure, installation ect. and he refused to make the vehicle available to us so we could address the issue, even though it was explained to him that it...

would be done so at no charge(under warranty)..I don't know of any business that would issue a refund under these circumstances,

Review: I took my 2003 Audi to have the driver-side front power window repaired on 9/22. The window regulator failed. When I dropped the vehicle off I asked [redacted] if he was comfortable with performing the repair. He assured me that he was. I provided [redacted], an employee, with the phone number and pricing of the closest Audi dealer so that they could purchase genuine parts. Three days later and $327.36 total, my car was ready for pick-up. Looking at the invoice it indicated that genuine parts were used. Aside from chipped paint, I was satisfied at this time. Approximately a week later, the window ceased to work! Based on trouble shooting by myself and the Audi dealer we determined that the main power window switch was failing. I ordered a new switch and decided to install it myself. As I was removing the door panel, I started to uncover the sub-par work that Portola Automotive had performed. At least one of the pegs on the trim piece was broken off, three of the six clips that hold the door panel on were broken and not replaced, a screw was over tightened which punched a hole through the panel, another screw was missing, the paint was chipped, and the foam insulation was torn and duct-taped rather than glued. This convinced me not to seek services from Portola Automotive in the future. I completed the r and r on the switch without touching the internal aspect of the door where the window is located. It still was not operational. I personally went to the shop on 10/26 and explained to [redacted] my finding and the sub-par work performed. His comment was, "I can't oversee everything that goes through my shop." I told him that not only was the window still not operational, but now I have deep scratches in the glass! It is worse than it was when I brought it in the first time. I told [redacted] that I wanted my money back. He told me he would look at it instead. I told him that I was not comfortable bringing it to him. He told me, "You can take me to small claims, but you will loose." So much for integrity.Desired Settlement: Due to the inability of Portola Automotive to perform quality work I will not allow them to work on my vehicle any more. Asking for a full refund is fair. I guess I should also be asking for the replacement price of the glass since it now has multiple scratches. At this time I will let that go. If this does go to small claims I will be seeking those moneys also.
