This is a sad and horrible issue that happen to this dog.  We had this dog with us for approximately 1.5...

hours.  Our entire facility is equipped with cameras and everything is monitored the entire time and in reviewing the cameras nothing happened to this pet during their visit here.  This is an issue that obviously happened prior to arriving to our facility.  This customer was told by phone her dog was acting strange but we had no idea what was going on, as we are not a vet to diagnose.  We asked her to come pick up the dogs and showed the dog was anxious when the owner arrived. After following up with the client and me, the owner talking to the client she explained her dog experienced heat stroke and was told by her vet that our salon had caused this with our caged heat dryers. First of all I want to reiterate no vet would point fingers at anyone or company blaming them for anything due to the liability of defimation and slander so I quickly let her know this would not have been said and that the vet, [redacted] is familiar with our salon.  She then explained well that’s what SHE thought it was, not the vet.  I also let the client know WE DO NOT USE CAGED HEAT DRYERS at all!  We never have and never will.  We do not use heat to dry our dogs, we use circulated air dryers. Our other issue is we don’t actually know the situation of the dog before he got to our facility.  Was he sitting in a hot car before he got here, was he outside, etc.  We had the dog for 1.5 hours, we washed it, hand dried it and then quickly blew dry the dog with air.  This is a greyhound dog and is literally dry within 5 minutes after a bath.  The owner brought 3 dogs in and they were all fine except this one? That makes no sense.  Like we did this to one dog and not the others? I also want to point out that the outside temperture was approximately 80 degrees and not a hot day that morning.  We also keep our inside air conditioning at 72 degrees to ensure our animals are comfortable and our employees working with them. The owner of the dog also told us well she had been to the vet previously the week before and is an old dog (12 years old).  It definitely sounds like this dog has had prior issues and now somehow this owner is just trying to get a vet bill paid! We did nothing out of the ordinary with this pet than with her other 2 dogs, its obvious the dog had medical issues prior to coming to our salon. We love all our animals and treat them with extreme care.  At this time we are not willing to take care of a vet bill when nothing happened at our salon regarding this dog.
