My daughter was seen at [redacted] for a medical issue and I had to pay $149.00 for visit out-of-pocket because my insurance wasn't available on the web for verification. I was told once my insurance company reimbursed [redacted] I would receive a check in the mail for reimbursement. About the beginning of March I placed a phone call to [redacted]'s [redacted] finding out the progress of the claim and received information that they use a Billing company called Positive Results Billing and to contact them. I called them and spoke to a very nice woman and also to my Insurance Company and found out they were reimbursed and to be expecting my check within 30 days. I placed another call 4/24/13 and spoke to Positive Results Billing again and they stated, "give it another month." I called again end of June and was told "we are on top of the list to be getting a check and they only cut checks once a month and to give it another 30 days." I asked if they could talk to whomever they needed to so I could get a check that week since it is now almost 6 months since the doctors visit and over 3 months since their company was reimbursed and she said she would put a note in the computer!" I now have placed a call 8/4/13, leaving a voice mail message demanding my $ this week and that I was reporting them to because something is not right! I have also left my phone #'s for availability 8/5/13. It has been 7 months since the doctor's visit and 4 months since they have received reimbursement from my insurance company. That is so wrong!!!!!Product_Or_Service: medical careDesired Settlementreimbursement of $129.00. (-$20.00 copay they will be taking out of the $149.00)Business' Initial Response I recieved this notice the first time today. Our company is a billing service with no notiating rights to our clients checking/savings account so we are unable to cut any checks back to the patient, it needs to be done by the client. Which in this case is [redacted]With that said we had requested the refund be processed by in April and assumed it was completed. When Ms [redacted] called back in June we contacted the office and they stated the refund would go out at the end of the month.We assumed it did. There has since been personell changes for the controller position at [redacted] I have sent him a copy of this complain and asked that he check to make sure the check went out and if not to issue one. I am sorry tha Ms [redacted] has waited so long. I as well am a consumer and would have wanted my $$ back too but, as I said we do not write any checks for them we are strickly accounts recievable. I will call Ms. [redacted] and explain the situation.Consumer's Final Response Positive Results Billing had contacted me in regards to my claim, 8/26/13. [redacted], who is representing this company, has investigated the situation and found due to turn over of controller's @ [redacted]'s [redacted] my reimbursement was thought to be completed by previous staff. [redacted] has contacted the current controller and had said I will be receiving my check this week. I did receive my reimbursement check 8/30/13 with apologies from [redacted]'s [redacted]I want to thank [redacted] from Positive Billing for getting this problem resolved in a quick matter after she became aware of the situation.Thanks, [redacted]
